    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm going to be starting a new job soon that will require me to be away from home for a while, so I have to part with my male IJ Carpet Python. He's healthy, great eater, has a big feeding response but he's nice once he knows there's no food. Local pick up only.

It is an Irian Jaya carpet python. The smallest of the carpets. They get like 4 and 1/2 feet to about 5 feet, "usually". Some females may get 6 feet or so. They aren't that large of a snake.

Dont worry about my original post, I must learn to love everything and everyone, to love the love that's in this lovely world full of happiness and rainbows with endless sunshine and happy happiness...and ponies! Kittens and puppies!

And dont worry friend, that snake pictured wont get too big and they are pretty mellow and well behaved for the most part too! They make great pets if housed and cared for properly!

Maybe he is a begginer in reptiles. Don't make fun of him for it. Educate him about the Morelia genus. This is what is wrong with this hobby. Nobody wants to take the time to educate people that want to learn. People make fun of them and then it discourages them to open up and learn more about reptiles and they quickly lose interest in them.

Maybe my troll sensors are on high, but it just seemed off for a first time poster to look at that pic and then say that about a carpet python after the countless pics that can be found here on pythons that really are huge. Smells off.
 
My personal opinion is that the Adoption forum should be considered an adjunct of the classifieds. As such, if one isn't inquiring about the animal, pointing out a misrepresentation, or posting a relevant BOI thread, there really isn't a reason to post. Sure, his post was out of place....but your retort - over a week later - was even more so. And, if your defense was that you were on troll patrol...well, you should know better than to feed them.
 
either way....i wanna jump thru a wall for not being able to get this snake. Beautiful animal. Someone good better snatch it up.
