In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Friends Pet and Supply?

These guys come and go, if he was honest he would do at least one of these things I suggested I have scene many honest people fix a bad guy thread by doing the right thing.I still think that picture is stolen.I have scene it before

Wow. I haven't checked this thread since the end of page 5. Now I see why I received a phone call from Brandon today. He told me that you guys were using slander against him. I'm not sure what he wants me to do about that-- I think you guys are pretty much recapping what happened... although Brandon has yet to substantiate his claims against me... I'm kind of upset to read all of this, sir.

classic statement of a bad guy caught in a lie and backed into a corner.

Slander is the communication of false statements that prove detrimental to a person's reputation, earnings, employment or social standing. Opinions with no statements of fact do not constitute slander. No one is guilty of slander.

If anything, Brandon is guilty of slandering his own reputation by claiming he's sold 100 CBB black-throats (with no facts or other substantiation to back his claim), by communicating "yes they look like the picture they are great looking baby's" and "they are CBB " ... all in writing, all for EVERYONE to see.

He's guilty of defaming his own reputation and character by posting a sale ad photo of a healthy young monitor and then selling and shipping what anyone with a modicum of intelligence can see is NOT a healthy young monitor.

The photo of the poor monitor that was supposed to look like the ad photo but actually was quite emaciated and dehydrated speaks for itself ... and it ain't speaking slander! It's speaking sickly, misrepresented and in need of proper care and attention.

Epic failure, Brandon...and that's just an opinion, not slander.

Pathetic. Give him a refund on that sad bag of bones.

if you read it i said an employee not a friend and i also said it is not a excuse to a minute to read it before you reply

It's your shop, you should have trained your employees not to send out emaciated lizards.

If it’s such a bad animal why would he want to keep it?

You didn't offer him his money back, you offered him store credit plus you said he would have to pay shipping to return the emaciated lizard. It's totally obvious from the horrible condition of that animal why he would not want store credit even if he could trust you give it. But because you had already broken that trust by falsely telling him he was going to get one just like the one in your ad, he had plenty of reason to believe you would just claim the lizard arrived dead or that it wasn't the same lizard.

You basicly have zero credibility at this point and the fact that you also said you think that the(obviously starving) monitor is probably just a runt also shows that you don't even have the skills to recognize what an emaciated lizard looks like.

You need to take responsibility for the fact that the lizard was in unacceptable condition when shipped and find a solution that does not involve anymore added risk or cost to the buyer. That probably means you are going to have to refund his money plus pay for shipping up front if you want the lizard back. If that involves you taking some risk then that is the consequence for you allowing that poor lizard to leave your shop.

If I had received that animal in that condition.. there is no way I would ship it back especially for store credit!! Who knows what I would receive the next time :( I'm glad the OP decided to keep the animal but I still feel the seller owes him some compensation!! It's obvious to me and looks like everyone else on here that the animal is not the same as the picture and that it's been neglected for quite some time to get to that condition!!

As for the Employee of yours picking out the animal to ship... that shouldn't be his responsibility if it's your place of business... you should chose the animal yourself, check it over before it is shipped and make sure that it is the one the OP has requested!!

Good Luck with future business as this site is a very good thing in the Reptile World... Keeps a lot of people from making the same mistakes and purchasing from people who can't stand up for their own mistakes!!

I was getting ready to order a 20 lot of red eyed tree frogs from his current kingsnake ad, came here to check up on him first and found this thread. Kiss that $400 sale goodbye...
