In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Friends Pet and Supply?

It does not look like the one in the pic to me either. If it is eating, it should be fine. Also, just to let you know, just about all monitors in the pet trade are imported, and that includes all species. Very few people in the states breed monitors.

I realize that most of them are wild caught or captive hatched... the ad said CBB and I asked him if that was correct before I purchased. He still has it listed on his web site as CBB.

There is no law about selling 100 monitors a month. And there should not be.This is the animal trade these are not endangered. He did screw you.But you wanted a monitor and they have to come from somewhere. Now that being said the dude is douche no doubt and his dealings should be futher investigated. There are good people out there and should have the right to import and sell healthy animals.Buy a pr and breed them. Then you will help the pressure on wild cought.

I'm sorry, I guess I should have been more specific. I was trying to say that I think there should be a law against selling Wild Caught or Captive Hatched as CBB.

I realize the role wild caught animals play in the reptile trade. I have respect for that-- and yes I do plan on getting a breeding pair or two. I'm sorry to those who honestly market their wild caught reptiles as such. There is nothing wrong with selling WC animals that are not protected, but there is something wrong with making someone believe they're purchasing an animal that was propagated in captivity vs collected from the wild. That was the distinction I was trying to make.

WC and CH is ok, just not when represented as CBB.

I cannot believe the bold-faced, outright lies of this guy! 100 CBB black throats? In his freakin dreams!

This one from Brandon is really funny:
"If you want to ship the animal back and i find it in the same condition as i sent it i will give you store credit for the animal but not for the shipping as per my shipping terms"

Yeah right. You ship it back, he'll say it's not in the great condition he shipped it out in and you'll be up a creek, no monitor and no store credit. Not that anyone would want "store" credit. The guy's a total scum bag.

Eric, do you have this guy's last name? How about the street address the package came from? From what I can figure from the phone number, he/they (the "family" operation/store) operate out of a post office box# in Ventura.

I hate that you've been duped but I hate even more that an animal has been so poorly cared for, simply for the sake of the almighty dollar. No one should benefit from a neglected animal. No one.

Here is some info on him.

I recently had a problem with this seller as well. I ordered 5 P. Bicolor dart frogs from them. They arrived extremly cold with the heat pack inside the insulated part with the frogs(the heat packs eat up oxygen). All the frogs were streatched out and dead looking. They did start sitting up when they were warmed up, but I've had 4 die since recieving them on Tuesday. They looked as though they were playing dead, which the seller told me it was common for these frogs to have seizures when stressed. I left them in my QT container, and have now lost 4 of the 5 to seizures. when I asked the dendroboard about it, they thought it sounded like calcium deficency siezures. I emailed him about the deaths yesterday, thinking that at least the breeder they bought them from should know but haven't heard anything from him yet. I filed a paypal claim, and he denied the refund for the frogs.. So we'll see what happens.

He just emailed me saying that he has "i have over 200 dart frogs that i breed and wholesale to many suppliers and never have problems, it might be that they got to cold in shipping". If someone is that heavily into dart frogs then you would think that they would be a member of the main dart frog message board and have researched shipping them a bit better..

He declined my pay pal refund request too. I called pay pal yesterday to complain about the seller. You should do the same. You may not get your money back, but at least pay pal may remove his account so he can stop screwing people over.

I've also reported him to the Ventura county humane society. I don't know if the humane society cares about reptiles, but if they do, this guy could be in trouble.

Dude dont try and go through paypal. When it comes to live animal issues paypal tends to not do anything. File a claim with your credit card company. List it as a fraudulent charge due to you not receiving the product that was presented to you.

same info to you man. Contact your credit card company. Only way paypal will help is if the shipment never arrived to you. They dont care what the animal looks like or if its healthy. They only care if it was or was not received.

I did get a complete refund a few minutes ago though paypal. I told him how disappointed I was, and that I would never buy from him again, and he refunded it all, so thats good at least..but definitley buyer beware. He seems to make claims about raising every species of animals in large numbers to try and make himself sound more like an expert..

Unfortunately, they decided to make my checking account my default payment instead of my CC. I don't know how they can do this, but they did-- so I'm disputing it through my bank... We'll see what happens. The important thing is that we find a way to get informed about this guy's shady operation.

just contact your bank on Tuesday (banks will be closed monday due to presidents day) and tell them it was a unlawful charge.

You don't want to do that. It was a lawful charge at the time it was authorized. Telling your bank otherwise now opens you to fraud charges. I hate to say this but if PayPal won't do anything for you then you are out of luck on this transaction.

And before anyone asks...yes...I do work at a bank

last i checked if the product you purchased was missrepresented by the person you sold to it is a fraudulent charge. if the situation is explained to his bank they should remove the charge.

Banks do not get involved in the details of a transaction like this. It is no different than if he wrote a check for an item, it was cashed, the item was shipped and he was unhappy with it. Complaining to your Bank at that point wouldn't get you anything.

The transaction, from a banking standpoint is completed.

No offense meant Brian but you should limit advice to topics you actually have knowledge of

Funny cause my bank has helped me in a situation identical to this. Navy fed gave me exact advice on what to do. No offence taken perhaps my bank has different policies.
