In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Friends Pet and Supply?

I'm not worries about the money guys, if you can think of anything that would help increase awareness across the reptile community about this shady character-- that would be more help. I can stand to lose $140. Winning in this situation, is making this guy change his reptile keeping practices, or helping him change industries.

If a credit card was involved in your transaction it is a different issue. If it was an authorized charge to your actual bank account then there was nothing that they could legally do. If you told them the charge was unauthorized and they did a reversal of the transaction based on that statement, you can be opening yourself up to major liability if the other party to the transaction can prove otherwise.

Banks, by regulation, are not permitted to do what you suggested to the OP

I absolutely agree

It was a Navy Fed Credit card but what would be the difference between that and a Visa check card considering it is still a Visa?

Brian

If you read the OP's account of the situation, his default PayPal source is his checking account. There was no card involved. It was an instant payment from the account itself. That is the electronic equivalent of writing a check.

Just like with a paper check, once the funds are cleared, the transaction is complete and cannot be reversed

Unfortunately, they decided to make my checking account my default payment instead of my CC. I don't know how they can do this, but they did-- so I'm disputing it through my bank... We'll see what happens. The important thing is that we find a way to get informed about this guy's shady operation.

I believe anyone who is a verified Paypal member has their checking account as their default method for payment. Paypal likes it that way because they make more money per transaction and it is also harder to do a chargeback. If you want to change it you can click on more payment options and click on credit card and it will charge your card.

That's all you can do is help to make others aware.

Sad part is even with all you're doing now he'll still be a shady importer that misrepresents animals.

I'm sure the little one will be 100% very soon.

Brandon wrote me the following last night:
it is so good of you to talk bad about me on fauna but you tell one side of it. you dont tell that this is not your first time doing this. i did some checking into you and found you have done this to other dealers, looks to me like you want something for free.

Brandon, if you're interested in telling more of the other side of the story, I'm sure everyone on this thread would love to hear, but do it on this site because I will not respond to your personal emails.

Complete D-bag !!

Brandon,

This sort of statement reminds of a creature with a self defense mechanism that activates to flee a sticky situation or a rock and a hard spot...or the bat mobile with a secret oil slick. I grow so tired of people who want to counter accuse others for there own shortcomings. The fact is I saw that animal when it came out of the box and its appearance was nothing short of an Aids patient. Where does someone get off shipping a poor critter like that, let alone making a hundred bucks off it in the process. Are you kidding me....

Eric deserves nothing short of a refund and your herp business deserves nothing less then to spend this " Season in the Abyss".....

What a stupid turd..Please do come to this forum and tell your side of the story..I am glad I cant smell through a computer, cause I am sure the words you type are gonna smell like poo.....

That monitor ate pinky mice, crickets and had access to water at all time as well it got soaked once a week. It would appear from the pictures that it was probably is the runt and should not of been sent out yeti keep 5 to 10 of these guys in a 3 foot by 5 foot tub, I did not pack that one of my employees did and that is not a good excuse but I have talked to them about it. I offered this guy his money back as soon I received the animal back, but he wanted his money back and wanted to keep the animal that seems like a scam to me. So I checked with some other breeders and sellers and found this is not the first time he has done this. I would still give his money back if he sends me the monitor. If it’s such a bad animal why would he want to keep it? And for all of you that like to talk bad about people without knowing the whole story you must be perfect people to be so quick to judge!! Out of the 100 of these I sold I get one guy not happy and wants to make a huge ordeal instead of just sending it back!! I have more happy customers than unhappy so you all have fun her talking trash.

That's a crock. YOU sent that emaciated lizard to a customer. The "I had a friend ship it" does not fly here.

If you wanted to be a good guy, you would return the guy's $, with an apology, and let him keep the lizard. At least he's trying to get the poor thing back to health.

If you want to look like a bad guy, then keep making stupid/ridiculous excuses.

Yes a runt would be smaller...But it would not look anything like a poor starved little lizard..It would be a smaller one,but would still look healthy...You obviously can see the one he got looks nothing like the nice healthy one in the pic...How do we know he will get his money back if he returned the animal?...Are you gonna pay shipping back, cause it is YOUR FAULT this animal got sent out...I would suggest taking the shipping costs out of your "employee's" paycheck so this dude wouldnt have to pay a dime if he does decide to ship the animal back...As a show of good faith,I would also encourage you to give him atleast half a refund upfront,if he decides to return it..Give him the other half when you get it,and compensate for the shipping charges that he would pay...I will agree with you on one thing...He does need to either keep it,or send it back...Even if you are shady,it isnt fair he keeps it and gets money...I would extend the health gaurantee
for maybe another few weeks as well.....

Pinky mice????? Are you freaking kidding me????? You sir should not be housing monitors OR selling them if you're only feeding them pinky mice and crickets at that size! Hopper mice are big enough for that animal as well as bugs. And how in the world do you know it even freaking ate with other monitors in the cage with it? Doesn't look like it ate, got water or anything to me.

That is no runt. You're just lying to save your a$$. I've been around monitors long enough to see through what you're saying. That animals is neglected and I have no doubts that the others you have /had are the same way. And any real keeper /seller knows smaller lizards should NEVER live with larger animals!!

So basically of the so called 100 you have sold that means you have to have imported about 200 animals because 1/4 usually die in transit and the other 1/4 die before being sold. Why? Stress and dehydration.

Just how many animals are you housing in a 3x5 foot cage anyway?? I bet if you really had the stock you swore you did it's at least 40 or 5o animals given the condition of that baby the OP received.

Sadly in my 17 years this is one of the RARE times I've seen a Albig baby shipped in that bad of condition. Horrible on you for that. Reimburse ALL his money, sell all your monitors since you very clearly neglect them and never do this again.

they are CBB and i have only had one die thank you. i offerd to take it back and he refused i am way to busy for this. you have fun trashing me. LOL

Iraqvet seems to be the only logical one on this post the rest just want to slander. Eric has the choice of returning it or not if he wants to keep it then keep it.

YOU sent a misrepresented animal.

YOU obviously and horribly neglected said animal.

YOU then minimized, and tried the old "my 'employee' made a shipping mistake" excuse. (BTW, if it's not an excuse, as you say, then why even say it?)

YOU are a person of bad business ethics, not to mention a terrible reptile keeper, and thick as a brick.

I hope YOU are out of this business sooner than later.

BS. You had NO CB animals. With the amounts you claimed to have, that could only mean they were all imports.
