In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought this might be a neat thing to do, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

I'm going to post pictures that we've taken of our ball python eggs, starting from candling, to cutting them open, to the babies once they've hatched, so you can sort of compare what you see when you candle and cut...to what's actually there when they hatch.

We've got pictures all the way through on two clutches, normal x spider, and normal x cinnamon pewter. I'll have to update the normal x cinnamon pewter once they're actually out of their eggs.

First, we have Gigantor.

Next up, we have Baby Three from the same clutch, RIP...but you can still see how the pattern matched up. He's the bottom right egg in the group shot.

And last but not least, we have this little beauty, the only one we got a good picture of the candling session.

All the candling pictures on this thread are taken with a Nikon D3000, WITHOUT the flash, in a pitch black room, eggs backlit by a Surefire U2 Ultra flashlight.

So....next up, the lesser x lesser clutch. These eggs are on day 44 of incubation. The first and last picture is clearly a head and eyeball in two different eggs (there are only 3 eggs), and the middle two pictures...well, it's not a white snake and I've never been able to see a normal inside an egg, so I'm hoping that's a lesser that looks just like mama.

That is TOTALLY AWESOME! I have been waiting to see these pics- Now I can go to bed happy...LOL Day 44, huh? My eggs are the same age...(Gonna go look for some eyeballs)...LOL

Move the flashlight around a lot, Rayna, and make sure it's behind the baby or right on top of it...and take pictures even if you can't see anything...then blow it up on your computer screen and see if you see anything. I forgot that tip on the other thread, too.

Yes, yes, please do share! I figure as many threads as have been started on what you see for what morph, etc., it'd be real easy to have it all in one place. And please feel free to follow up with baby pictures once they've hatched, too!

Need I really say it? Those are some amazing shots....LOVE the ears, eyes, and noseballs!

Wait.... umm...well love it???

Ohhh and didn't see it at first (I'm sloooow) but sweet shots Missy Rayna!!!!!!!!! Waiting for the noses!!

Of course, Rayna!

I see a spider or bee in number one, and if that's not a tail stripe in number four, it's a stripe down a spider or bee's back. The rounded thingies in two and three make me think pastel (or normal since I don't know what one looks like in egg yet). Woohoo! Come on, bees!

Awesome thread!!!!

I see a lesser in that egg Tere!!!

I'm loving this!!! Too bad my eggs are too dimpled to be candled good. Cutting them thursday... Still have 3 clutches to be laid yet tho!!

Oh, I hope so, Kelly. A BEL is what got me started on this whole ball python thing, so when I candled these eggs and saw nothing, I got so excited. Then, boom...out of nowhere came that pattern and the stripes on the sides of the heads of the heads and eyeballs pics above...and shortly thereafter, I realized I had candled too early the first time. So this is my prayer every night...please, mighty Morph God, let me have ONE that looks just like HER mama! :bow01:

I don't think my $3.99 flashlight is bright enough to get the pattern to show up but here's what I was able to capture.
