    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all, first post after browsing around for a couple days. I hope this is the right place for this :)

I'll be getting a 3" Grammostola Pulchripes female on Thursday, and a debate came up today. She'll be coming in a 10 gallon glass tank, with a screen lid and appropriate decor. I've read they prefer smaller spaces, and that things like Kritter Keepers work well, so would it be better to move her into one of those?

I also have another tank I was given, again glass with a screen lid, that measures 8x8x8. Would this be an appropriate tank for her? I don't think so with the height and lack of floor space, but if more experienced keepers say it would work/work better I won't argue saving money :p

So far I've enjoyed what I've seen of the community and I look forward to being part of it!

A little update.

Just a small update on this;

I've looked around some more, and I think the small-size "Lee's Herp Haven Breeder Box" would be a good fit for my space and what the spider would be comfortable in. Probably going to go with one of those, unless someone recommends otherwise.

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

A new twist!

This should be my last post here, as I don't think it'll need much response after this;

The person who gave me the 8x8x8 is purchasing another spider, and in an effort to keep their collection a certain size, will be giving me a Brachypelma Auratum! She said the spider should be comfortable in the tank for a while, so that saves space and money.

This is turning out to be a pretty neat little adventure.

I'll make another post regarding the Flame Knee should the need arise :)
