    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Because it appears that it has been warranted. If people wish to be problems for, or on, this site, then they will usually be warned, if time permits, to try to allow you to put out your own flaming spectacle voluntarily. If they continue unabated, or things have already progressed to the point where a stronger message needs to be sent, regardless of whether you have received a prior warning or not, then that leaves us no choice but to remove the fire starters and/or the cheerleaders. Temporarily or permanently, as many as are needed to go, moderator's choice, depending on the circumstances.

Yes, I realize that no one really needs this site, but the other card on the table is that we really don't need troublemakers here. So if your being evicted produces a situation where we are BOTH satisfied with that result, then life is just peachy for us both, is it not? Tell me, what exactly is the downside to that?

And yeah, yeah, I'm quite impressed with someone who knows how to create false accounts. Whoopee doo. :rolleyes: Hope the effort is fun for you, because everything you write that way can be deleted much quicker than you can create another account after getting the false account banned or removed. Heck, an entire account can be deleted at the click of a mouse button. So type your little fingers to the bone while you can and enjoy your few minutes of trying to get in the last word. Seriously, you will tire of it more quickly than we will.

And for the record, spinytail, this is not necessarily targeted towards you after my original response to your question. But if the shoe fits, then so be it. That is your choice.

Chris, when you see this, I want you to know that I sincerely apologize for jumping to conclusions on this particular issue since it is pretty apparent what went down.

As for the culprit, he should be ashamed. Maybe he can build a test-bed so that he can be sure shame and decency can run on his system.

I agree for the most part, but my question was of the antagonistic threats. I have intention to move on, but baiting conversation and make a target because I asked questions directly to the mod seemed over reactive. I have really tried to understand the thread pertaining to Michael and Garrett through all the side chatter and genuinely was concerned for Michael, because I have seen first-hand what people go through living with Lupus. I came here to stick up for him and make sure he has a fair opportunity to get what he paid for period. If the drama of this forum is going to push me out of the conversation because I call it like I see it, so be it. I am not otherwise invested here and can find better things to do with my time.

I believe you need to review your past postings in relation to the reasons the moderators were encouraging you to cease with off topic posting in this thread. Your inability to understand or recognize the rules and why they are in place will not excuse you to continually violate them.

So let me ask you a simple question. What is the topic of this thread?

Got that? Next question: What postings have you made that were not about the topic of this thread, and therefor "off topic"?

And then: Can you comprehend that posting about policies of this site and actions of the moderators are NOT "on topic" in this thread? Any reason why you feel that you are exempt from the rules of this site and can ignore the warnings from the moderators?

You complain about "drama" yet apparently wish to create a wave of it yourself. Accidental or purposeful? The results will be the same, as far as your participation on this site is concerned if you do not cease.

If you cannot understand the above, then perhaps your leaving here and going to someplace else more on your personality level would be in everyone's best interests. You are apparently unwilling or unable to fit in here. That is unfortunate, but this site was never designed with the hope that it would meet the needs of everyone.

Garrett,

I thought we requested on the thread and you did not share this info (and for good reasons I admit). Then Michael shared each post during the time-frame you said you offered to contact him and it was for him to accept a call from the contact only at your convenience. This was at a time, you where claiming Mike was a partner, so he insisted on having that contact. It was not until then that you reverted back to "these things take time".

I don't think we ever received any proof that the Pakistan contact existed nor did you offer a legitimate way Michael could confirm this.

Mr. Moore, you gave me an unwarranted "time out" for another moderator who I ask questions to respectfully. He clearly could have done that himself. I was not being antagonistic. I merely asked questions in the same language that I was being subject to, namely by you. The fact that a mod would go back far enough (8 months?) to find a reason to give out an undeserved infraction speaks volumes. There seems to be no line between biased and unbiased with regard to moderation anymore. Just my opinion and is not a generalisation regarding the overall success of this site. I have no animosity toward anyone involved. I've been booted for a year, rightfully so, and took my medicine. This time, I didn't need any meds. Just my opinion.
 
I am at the point where I truly don't care if I get canned from this site. I truly have the utmost respect and admiration for Webslave and most of his staff. I will say this. In the 13 years I've been here, I've always been on the right side of the fence. I've never lied, and I've never scammed anyone. I've always accepted my infractions and suspensions as well deserved. Not this time. To all of Garrett's victims? Boohoo. I'm done. When you realize you've been screwed, don't seek help from the site that tried to help you. Hire a attorney.

Frankly, had I not intervened on your behalf, it's likely that you have taken the blame for those other posts, and had your 3 day ban extended to a year or more.
Your indignation over the infraction, and resultant ban, does not concern me - I'm fairly certain you'd have received the same from somebody else, had I waited. I was pretty clear on where this matter should be addressed; yet here you are, off-topic and disruptive.

I've already posted a link to the Feedback Forum - if you want to complain about me as a moderator, that is the only available place to do it.
 
Didn't notice that my tablet changed "acceptable" to "available" in that last sentence; but it really doesn't matter.

Thanks for your response. I feel no need to address this issue further. I will not be entertaining this here or anywhere else on this site. The only thing I have a problem with is why nobody had a problem with associating me with bogus posts here after my suspension was initiated, yet won't say who is suspect now. At this point, I guess it doesn't matter. Only flaws are recognized with guys lacking authority. I will say this. I jad ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what happened after I was suspended and have never given anyone here reason to believe otherwise. I have nroken rules here in the past with regard to insubordination, but have never been deceptive or stood by anyone who has been proven to be abusive to this hobby. My methods may be unacceptable to some, but have always been with good intentions. If that is worth a year long ban, make it permanent.

Thank you Lucille. I will not be entertaining that thread. I did not bring it up here. Those who did can continue discussing it there. I feel no need to defend myself there or anywhere else and should never have been suspect in the first place without proper investigation. I'm done with this topic. Thank you for your input.

If he breaks it or wants out, that is tough if he committed to it. I have seen him agree to things and then reverse commitments here. If someone pitches some alternative deal at me or accepts an alternative deal from me and then I set that deal in motion and tie up funds to do so, that is not some harmless or small thing. It is not changing an order at a drive-through. Not everything is easily reversible. Not everything can be redirected after being set in motion. Do I feel Michael is owed? Absolutely. Has this taken a long, long time? Indeed. Do I feel that Michael has contributed to the situation in some way? Bet on it.

Frankly, I do not feel anything positive has been changed for Michael through the evolution of this thread. I do appreciate that he brought the issue forward, though. I wish it could have played out better - exactly because it could have.

I agree 100% Nick, but comparing you and your deals to Garrett's, is like comparing Cadillac's to apples.

I don't believe for a moment Garrett tied up funds for the upgraded deals. If he did and posts proof, I'll apologize in a heart beat. I don't look to apologize. (there will be NO proof)

If everyone will, keep Garrett's name out there in ALL FORMS of SOCIAL MEDIA, Facebook, Twitter, Kingsnake, etc. You get my drift.....
