    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Gas Price war

It would require patience, but would let the oil companies know how we feel
You think the president (or any employee down to the parking lot attendant) of Exxon, Mobile, or any oil company gives a rat's @ss how you pay? Nor would they even know. As for the actual gas station, many independently owned, they probably don't care either.

That got me to thinking if I walked into a gas station with about $30.00 in pennies in plastic bags it would really screw things up, if lots of people did it, it would effect them in many ways, it would slow down the rate at which they could fleece us, and rolling all those pennies would be a pain in the ACE.
On a side note I took $10.00 in rolled pennies to the same station a week later, and they were happy to accept them from me, imagine that!

I use to work at a convenience store. I worked there very briefly, because I couldn't put up with the rude, obnoxious, unsympathetic customers, the above being a perfect example. Now I've been poor and had to buy something with rolled coins, but it's the attitude. The only people you are going to slow down, is the poor minimum wage cashier, who has to count your $30 in pennies (while you laugh, at the look on his/her face) and the people in line. I myself would direct my anger to the person, who dropped the $30 in pennies on the counter, not the poor soul who has to count it, nor the president of Exxon. As for not taking rolled coins, many places have such a policy,(is it legal to not accept legal tender?) because people fill them with slugs and stuff.

Right....

Many of the gas stations in this area are COMPANY OWNED stations, they have been very effective in E L I M I N A T I N G privately owned gas stations, they do not want them anymore, it cuts into their profits.
As for the general pubic and their behavior, I own a reatail store, I see many wonderful examples daily. I've had everything from a man relieving himself in my mailbox because I wouldn't let him use my bathroom, which would have required him coming behind my counter, to people turning their kids loose to cause distraction so they could shoplift, people acting like my store is a flea market asking if I'll take $XX.XX (try that at Xmart) for something, so P L E A S E don't go there. I deal with the rude pubic at large daily. I've learned to deal with it, I laugh at most of them, ask some to leave (and not come back), and learned to say NO, and when someone needs to pay in coin GUESS WHAT, I accept it as greatfully as if it was a $20.00 bill.

Ok so lets target COMPANY OWNED STATIONS. REMEMBER I SAID IT WOULD REQUIRE PATIENCE.
