My father painted them a custom sign with their company name last year at their request. He made the mistake of completing their customer order before they paid for it. They disappeared and he got stuck with it.

I don't know anything about their geckos but I have a good idea about their ethics.

Well, I sent him a message stating that unless he responds with payment by 8pm EST tonight, I will consider him in default of payment. At that time, he will get the honor of being the first person booted off of FaunaAuction. I have already blocked him from bidding on any of my other auctions.

Rich first come first served ...at least your animals are not going to them, what if thier husbandry methods were less than yours and they got sick, and they sold sick animals, AND they said they got them from Serpenco.....ya know there is a blessing in all this

I am sorry you took my answer as being an attitude, but that was how you read it and not how I wrote it.

However, if I do not hear anything back from you within 24 hours (which will be 8:00 pm EST) I will assume you intend to default on the payment of the auction you placed the winning bid on at the FaunaAuction site. I have gotten a receipt from my previous email showing that you have read that notice.

There has been no further communication from Mr. Laney. My recommendation is that anyone considering doing business with this person consider this incident as an indication of the business ethics of the persom whom you are dealing with.

Well, without boring everyone with a string of emails, I think just this one is pretty much indicative of what really happened:

In my opinion, Mr. Laney apparently purchased some similar animals from Ted Frey before the auction came to a close. Probably caught him in a bind, because now he really didn't need to buy mine from the auction. So, in my opinion, he took the flimsiest of excuses to claim that I gave him good reason to not follow through on paying for the auction he placed the winning bid on.

If I really wanted to do so, I'm sure I could find out from Ted when the transaction between himself and Mr. Laney actually took place, and I would not be at all surprised if that happened before the ending time and date of my auction. But why bother? I think this paints a clear enough picture as it is.

Oh well, take this information and use it as you see fit if you have an opportunity to do business with Mr. Laney.

Probably not the same Gecko Hutt

I had a guy not go through with an auction I had on Reptibid and have no respect for him nor this guy, but that's not why I'm posting.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the Gecko Hutt as it was and probably didn't buy the old geckohutt.com from Jeannie Jordan. Part of that deal was the domain name and graphics, which he's not using.

You can still see the last incarnation of the Gecko Hutt on the Internet Archive.

well I did a trade with him for some dort frogs for beardies and was suppose to get 1.3 with one gravid we sent his frog and it took 3 weeks or more to get our beardies and when we got them
it was 3.1 and no gravid one and when we e-mailed him we have not got any response on it so as for me I am done with the guy
