GEHYRA MUTILATA, what a beautiful species to work with. Seem to have 2 color phases, a spotted and a pattern less. They both give off an amazing gold yellow glow that is hard to pick up on camera. Both are pictured. These have just been so much fun to acclimate and learn from. Very smart and inquisitive geckos that just love to know what's going on. Quite timid at first, once they can establish trust with a keeper will readily tong feed and investigate anything they feel worth investigating. Will take pangea but really stick primarily to insects, these guys are relatively easy to keep. A tropical environment up into the upper 80s (30c)during the day and low 70s (23c) at night. These appear to prefer to glue on the inside of bamboo or other secure safe environment. As far as handling, not recommended as these have incredible speed and a very good ability for getting into tight spaces. For more experienced gehyra keepers, they are very easily workable to get them to a trusting relationship and allow interaction. I have Hatchlings and eggs from these guys and feel very comfortable in their acclimating. I have decided to let go of a few pairs and some of the hatchlings.
