In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all,
Trying to figure out why there is not more GBB morphs on the market or in collections....I have looked everywhere to try to get some type of pricing guidelines but no one is selling any that I can find.

I bred my male Pastel Enchi het Ghost to my Genetic Black Back to produce what you see here...

Clutch pic gave me some nice babies
Second pic Pastel Genetic Black Back
Third...Worlds First....Pastel Enchi Genetic Black Back

Tell me what you think of the morph and why you dont see more of them on the market.....

Travis

Take a look at my thread "genetic value in my female ball python" I have been working on a similar project and produced some really nice morphs this year and in years past.

One reason you dont see much on the market is because Black Backs are hard to say, for certain, that its genetic. Black Backs are a normal variant that just happens and is great, but every now and then, like your self, a black back starts to throw that onto its offspring. The same could be said for Genetic Reduced Pattern, its hard to say for certain that its genetic and not a random occurence. But if you have had many breeding trials, and the same thing keeps happening, then I would say your on to something :yesnod:

Mother is proven Genetic....third time to throw GBB....I have pics of spider off springs from 2 years ago that are BB also.

The spider belongs to another local breeder friend of mine...CITYBOY REPTILES...he is picking up my Pastel GBB male to breed to the Spider above and of course going for the GBB BEE...I am saving one of the normal BB males to go right back to mom...for the Super I hope...

Congrats again, great looking clutch.
I love what the GBB adds to different morphs.
We've got a shot at GBB super enchi this year, and I hope to produce a GBB enchi het albino male to try for GBB albino enchi next season.

I too have thought of buying myself a black back. Had seen a couple being sold by Bailey's reptiles awhile back. Had just checked on the website again only to find the little male/female to have been sold. Was quite upset about it, but you snooze you lose i guess. Still, its nice to see someone out there indulging in the BB's. I'm sure that some really cool morphs could be made with them. Congratulations, and seriously, keep making gorgeous babies. :]

The second snake is one I produced from a female my wife called the Amoeba Ball. It was her purchase at a reptile show. The first pic is from an Enchi x original Amoeba female. I sold the second pictured snake and have the first one still, and an Enchi Amoeba male. My buddy has the original female and produced the Enchi and snake in the first pic. I plan on breeding the Enchi male to this first female to see what happens. I think there are many lines out there, some just take awhile to get noticed. I think the black backs spice up the albino and pastels and should make the Enchi and Spiders really pop.

Both of those are worlds first as far as I know....send them over...the more morphs people see with GBB the more popular they will become...I am breeding for a super form this next year also...My proven female to one of her sons
There is only 3 GBB's on there...Pastel, Enchi and my Pastel Enchi
