    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay i'm new 2 the whole world of breeding leo's, have kept them as pets - 3 females- for years, and was thinking of starting a little colony of breeders. However, im not very up 2 date with the whole genetics things.

I was just wondering in order 2 get some of the specific morphs that are for sale - what 2 genetic traits have 2 be combined for e.g

Bannana Blizzard
Blazing Blizard

Any others you can think of would be great! Just trying 2 understand a little more about this process

Thanx Grace

Grace I would strongly suggest getting Ron Trempers new book. It goes over everything and anything! Just make sure you research every aspect of the geckos before choosing to breed them. Many hobbyists make that mistake and take the plunge into breeding too soon. And as far genetics goes NERD has a great genetics page that explains everything, and there is alot to learn...lol

Here's a link to a thread with a some info on bananas: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71000&page=2&pp=5&highlight=banana+blizzard

Blazing blizzard is a combination of two recessive genes (blizzard and albino); a true banana would also be a combination of two recessives (blizzard and patternless).

Fred has a very nice well illustrated page with a good introduction to genetics here:
http://www.gekkonida.com/genetics-guide.htm

For double recessive genetics (what you would likely be working with) check out this thread: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70052

Hope this helps!
Alice
