In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I know that a while back there was a whole site on how to ship and stuff, can anyone link me? Basically I will be buying all of my supplies here: http://www.superiorenterprise.com/shipping.html and need to know what size deli cups to get, what temps i will need to put in a heat/cold pack, and a few other small things. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I won't need this info for a while (like 2 months), but I want to be ready so i'm not scrambling over what to do. Thanks

Tyler

yea i saw that, but what exact size deli cup do your guys use? I dont really know the size of any of them. I don't want to have to make a wild guess. Should I include a coldpack if the weather of the recipitant is over 90 degrees? What if that makes it too cold on the plane? Things like this are what I need help with :(

Here’s a step-by-step guide I made for shipping leos. I use the 8 oz. deli cups but have used the 12 oz. for large animals.

If the temp is 90+ in your area or the recipients you should use a cool pack or two. Now if the weather is too hot like close to 100 I wouldn’t even attempt shipping. It’s better to wait rather than risk the geckos life. Hope that helps.

if the plane or truck is air conditioned would that effect the temperature? I dont want the leos too cold OR too hot

I wouldn’t worry too much about it being cool. Heat is more detrimental to leos more so than the cold. In the winter as long as you use heat packs and the temps are above 45 they’ll be fine. In the summer use cool packs and watch the temps. For the most part the transportation of the box is done at night and they’re delivered in the morning so it’s usually not exposed to extreme temps.

and the cold packs are also taped to the top of the box? 1/2 lb ones right? Also why do you poke holes in the deli cup if they don't get any air from the popcorn blocking it anyway

I wrap my cold packs in a single sheet of newspaper and place it near but not directly on the deli cup. The ½lb ones are what I use. I don’t poke holes in the deli cups. I just buy the pre punched deli’s so I don’t have to put holes in them. If the deli cup was completely sealed the gecko would suffocate. I also put two holes in the box for a little circulation and to get oxygen to the heat packs.

ok one hole on each side of the box, deli cup with holes, ice pack above leo seperated by some newspaper. sounds good. thanks for the help cody

ice pack above leo seperated by some newspaper.
I wouldn’t put the cool or heat pack on the top or bottom. If you put it on the side the leo can somewhat move the to the other side of the deli if it wants.

Your welcome. Glad I could help…

I completely agree with Cody. I actually use 20 oz bottles 1/2 filled with water and froze (I put the cap on after freezing to ensure it doesn't crack) then seperate it with either a wall of insulative foam 1/2 the heighth of the box or I wrap it in newpaper or such material.
This works well for me since for me to ship in the summer I HAVE to be extra careful due to 100+ temps for 5 months! I can brag (knock on wood) no arrivals have ever made it and not been 100%.
Packages arriving to me have been a different ball game... always check with the buyer and the internet regarding the best method to ship and the weather where you are and where it's being shipped too and package accordingly. I feel if you package "smart" and think about their home set-up and try to maintain the interior of the box as you would keep them at home you will do fine.

Dang I ramble on sometimes!
