Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am sorry I take so long processing those GGC applications, and I explained my reasons why. That wasn't good enough for you, so obviously my lifestyle and yours are incompatible. I gave you your money back IN FULL, so I don't "owe" you a thing.

See what I mean? You are STILL itching for a fight. There was no veiled threat in my statement. People are reading this thread and taking note of your attitude. Have you not noticed the negative karma you have gotten? I was trying to warn you that you are hurting yourself and yet you still insist in backhanding me.

Maybe because of a misunderstanding on your part. You seem to have been looking at it as you paid for something that you weren't receiving. Which isn't the case with the GGC historically or even in the statements about the program in the informational threads about it. From your perspective you thought you paid for a GGC and were owed. From Rich's point of view and the sites, Rich hasn't yet done something that he said he would do for free for those who were Contributing Members of the site. Contributing Memberships weren't the result of the GGC program. It is a Contribution that stands on it own. At first Contributing Members of this site, simply contributed to keep the BOI running. To help pay the bills around here and a war chest to fend off frivolous lawsuits. That's how I still view those that contributor here. To support the site. Maybe I'm just being naive.

Those that were willing to do it (contribute) doesn't immune them from bad guy posts or following the rules here. It simply was a statement of support.

At a later point and this was years after, Rich wanted to add some perks for those that contribute here and then added the different levels. At this point, the members here had already been contributing for years without the perks so it was a nice thing to do for those that stepped up and contributed to the site.

So from that point of view, GGC wasn't ever a payed for service but something that was later added as a thank you for contributing to the site.

As Contributing Memberships grew over the years, Rich has stated multiple times in the past that GGC is a manual process that takes some time so he will now do these in batches. Looking at it as it is something he offered to do for those that contributed for free and being a headache to do, I can see why he might not give it top priority but it does get done.

In the guide about the program it states check for updates in the feedback section. If you search I'm sure you will find updates about this.

Yes, it is a enticement to join and benefits both in the fact you have a place for those who can see your standing and references and the site is referenced on yours, it never was a stand alone program that somebody paid for. So from that point of view, it wasn't ever a payed for service. Yes in the present, some join solely for the benefits outlined in the perks for each level of contribution and some join to support the site. I realize some join just to obtain those perks. From a business point of view, I can see why but for us old timers it still is about supporting the site, in general. Granted the perks are a enticement in the present to help support the site. I can see why one would think that are owed all the perks listed but it is stated here in the forums that the GCC isn't processed immediately.

In all fairness, this could of been avoided by seeking answers privately. It could be done professionally by asking direct questions and receiving answers. You stated you asked before posting but you could have addressed your concerns to that privately and I'm sure you would have had your funds back ASAP as you did with this thread if the answers weren't to your liking. If asked, I'm sure you would have received clarification on the program itself.

Even here Rich's first response was direct and you didn't seek any clarification on it,(the GCC, what it meant being a Contributing Member)you just wanted your funds back for being a Contributing Member and not yet receiving one of the many perks with being such.

I think you started this thread with a short fuse ahead of time. I'm trying to be polite here but you did come here accusatory stating your not getting what you paid for. Instead of trying to fix the issue professional or at least come to some sort of understanding.

If he had kept your money, sure. He refunded it in full, which means he is OUT the bandwidth and resources that your link and traffic demanded of his server, and you have ALL your money back. Plus, he had to deal with your attitude and your rant about a program you apparently don't even understand correctly. The only one that's lost anything of substance here is Rich.

Well, YOU'VE probably lost a ton of future sales, but you sorta threw that in for free yourself.

And he can refuse to do business with ANYONE for WHATEVER reason he wishes, as this particular market segment is not governed by any anti-discrimination laws that I'm aware of. He's not required to let you buy things from him, and he's certainly not obligated to continue a business relationship with you if he finds you unpleasant.

You called the Owner a loser and vindictive yet you state you are stopping because you still want to use the classifieds here. Heck, if it were me I probably wouldn't want someone using my site who has such a low opinion of me.

Yet you weren't banned at that point but still keeping it up. I gave you the ability to look at it as a simple misunderstanding and chance to repair this or simply move on but that doesn't appear what you were after by continuing badgering the owner. I wasted my time.

While I accept your apology, I think you need to step into some of our shoes for a minute. Some of us have been here for years and have seen Rich build this place up from nothing into a well known site with huge traffic. (That benefits YOU by the way. The traffic and the well run site make buying and selling here attractive to businesses and hobbyists alike.)

For members who have been around for years and seen how much time and sweat has been put into this place, it is only natural that we might raise our hackles when someone who is relatively new comes here and complains when things are not going fast enough to suit them.

You can't seem to post without barbs or snark. ( I'm just saying what I'm seeing.)
This is a community. People come here and stay here for years. They get to meet good guys and find out which bad guys to steer clear of. It is a privilege to be here.

Rich is a powerful person in many ways. You wouldn't know it because he is civil and courteous. The same can be said of his mods. Your behavior is your biz, but I'm telling you, if you grab the third rail when you've been told not to, there are consequences you will have to deal with.

I can see no one seems to be able to get through to you. And you apparently enjoy taking your little slaps at me.

I'm sending you to the dugout for a month. If you think about how you could have done this a little better and come back afterwards with a better attitude, then fine. If not and you don't come back, then that is fine too.

If it makes you feel better to think I am doing this vindictively, well, whatever....
