    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't have any babies to show off yet so I thought I would post an update on my ghost girls. First up is my Orange female. She is now weighing a hefty 458 gm. Still stubbornly only taking mice, but at least she is growing decently. I love head shots so I just had to add one, lol.

Thank you!! I'm quite pleased with them. I keep waiting for them to dull out, but they haven't yet so hopefully they won't. Maybe someone who has more experience with older ghosts can tell me if all ghosts lose their orange and "dull out," or if there are some that maintain it into adulthood.

I haven't changed my mind since I first told you that I think they're both gorgeous, but the blushing and somewhat black-back makes the first girl my favorite.

Matt - She always has been your favorite, lol. Do you have any insight to the question I asked in my posting above yours?

Yeah, I'm a sucker for that incredible blushing! :D

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of experience with older ghosts. I can only comment on the ones that I've got. My holdback female from last year will be a year old in 19 days, and she's still THE brightest ghost that I've seen yet. Her father was still a very pretty ghost when I traded him away in May. I believe he was 3-3 1/2 years old when I let him go. My honeybee is only a yearling. At this point, he's still very bright and pretty. My hypo mojo is still very pretty, and he's about 2 years old.

I honestly think that it comes down to selective breeding stock. Hopefully my "pickiness" will pay off, and I'll produce more gorgeous ghosts this year. The dam that produced my girl is due to drop her eggs in about a week (post-ov shed was 6/15) so I'm stoked about that!!! We'll have to see how this 2nd clutch comes out! ;)

Thanks Jon and Brandon. Of course you like the butterscotch, Jon, she's from you, lol!! She is quite a beauty. I'm really looking forward to using them in the 2012/13 season.
