the "new" Gilbert. I knew it was just a matter of time before his true colors shown back through. Nothing like throwing an already tarnished reputation down the toilet. It will be almost impossible to come back from this one.

I hope Ritchie posts the other two emails I sent him. It shows more clearly how this all unfolded and where a person could beleive we was working out the final details. You have not bothered to talk about those two.
I just ASSUMED you would afford me the same respect that you gave the other guy you had to check with.
Anyways, everyone can chime in and say whatever. I have said that I said it and never denied it. Case closed and bottom line.
I will not retract it for a comment like that is not retractable.
I will not comment any further on this as I feel I have said what I needed to say as well as admitting to saying it.

Hey Dave, you took the exact words right out of my mouth! I still recall all the games that Gilbert played with me having me hold a very large dollar amount of animals for him and then at the last minute backed out the deal that he proposed and offered another deal. Then backed out and then changed his mind. Then changed back his mind then again, etc, etc. This guy is just a handful of problems. Then he drops off for a few months to let his threads settle to the bottom of the pile. Now he is back on here and kingsnake, talking it up, buying animals from one person and then posting them for sale, telling stories. It never ends. The comments made to John don't surprise me as we have seen him go off the handle and threaten to kill people just for criticising him on these boards. There is no excuse for racist remarks.
Now, regarding the last email that Ritchie posted, I could see where Gilbert had thought the animal was his. BUT. That was Sept 23rd. If a few days went by with no reply from Gilbert or an email from paypal saying you have cash, then I don't think John did anything wrong by selling to Wes. If Gilbert really wanted the snake, he would have paypalled the money right after that email or replied to John with the day the money would be paypalled letting him know he had a serious buyer. Not doing that made John feel that Gilbert wasn't serious and sold it to someone else.

John, I can personally care less how you feel as you simply didn't care about how I felt. You say you were not upset. If that is the case why did you post on here?? To show people I didn't care for a particular race?? I'm sorry if that offends you but it sure seems okay when ya'll say you don't care for someone. Am I a racist in a way?? Sure and a majority of the people that tell you they are not in some form or fashion are full of it. I am just honest enough to say it. I am really not biased in color (it's other things!) as I have a lot of friends of different color. I was upset at the time and it fit.
What can I say?? I am sure I offended a lot of people and for that I appologize. It was meant for one not all. Was it childish and stupid?? Sure it was but I cannot take that back now can I?
I got upset because things did not work out my way. As far as, John goes. You can mince it up however you like. I do know and can say that if for some reason this happened to me. I would have contacted the person to see if they were still interested. However, you are right you can do as you please it was your snake. You don't have to honor the first person that comes along. Even though they tell you that they are extremely busy.
May, I ask why in your ad that you didn't list her current health condition? Instead of waiting until people email you. You didn't tell me about it until I asked you for a better price. Why didn't you tell me in the begining?

I'm guessing that my have been for me. After my reply, I thought to myself it may have crossed an integrity line. So my apologies.

I would like to add, if I had held every animal back for someone who emailed me, telling me it's sold only not to hear back from him again I'd have 400 more in my collection than I have now. Bottom line, if I'm considering a purchase, get the details and decide to go with it, I don't go to bed, log off my PC, or disappear for 3 days BUT it's amazing just how many people do. You answer 50 questions, give out all payment info, phone #, etc...and after 3-4 emails in a half hour, all of a sudden...no reply. Get real!! Unless the deal is closed, with payment arrangements made, payment in full, or a deposit put down to hold - the animal is still for sale.
