    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A warrant for a vague $150 promise if it even happened? Are you joking? A judge has to sign a warrant and will not sign one for the most heinous of crimes without a pile of evidence. So now we know you are not a cop. A cop does not go to get a warrant from a judge. A cop does not go to get a warrant on a personal matter. On top of all that it is illegal to record someone on the phone without advising them they are being recorded unless you have already secured a warrant for wire tapping. So even if what you say is true, which I am willing to bet it is not, it is inadmissable. Good job.

You keep threatening people and going out of your way to look like an a**. Why don't you just do what you said you were going to do (FOUR TIMES NOW) and not post anymore. If you have a gripe over your $150 animal you go file in small claims court. Simple. No prosecutor is going to waste his time on that.  Even as you apologize you threaten people? Man, you are just a waste of time!

I am happier now than I have been in years not to have given you a pile of trade for snakes that "on your word" were hets. I would probably get $50 ball pythons for $5000! You keep telling everybody that the Barkers' could vouch for you? How do they know that you are selling the snake you bought from them and not a normal? I could just see me hatching all normals from your het albinos and het clowns. Then I would be in Texas filing criminal fraud charges against you.

It would be my advice for you all to do as I did weeks ago and block Gilbert's email so you don't have to put up with any more of this senseless abuse. He has shown us all what kind of person he is and he will be hard pressed to find a place in this industry. Evan Stahl

    I am not being ugly but you don't know what you are talking about.  Can you show me in case law where that is illegal?  I think not!  Wire tapping??  Oh my!  It is called a micro-cassette recording device or tape recorder.  I guess you have to tell crooks you are recording them for it to be admissable.  Whatever!!

I met up with you on a sunday to sale a few animlas. they were 1.2 lepidus lepidus at a price that you agreed upon for $1,000 and the exchange was made.
You called me two days later saying that you may have spent too much money for them, and wanted your money back.  I then told you that the sale was final and if you wanted I could lend you an extra male to breed with her and eventually said that I would give the animal to you.  (if you recorded the entire phone message then you would know that this is what we agreed upon) The next day you posted an add saying that you were getting rid of rattlesnakes and I never heard from you again.  The weekend that we was going to meet (last weekend) I went to college station to visit with a good friend and you never called me or e mailed me saying that youwere still picking that animal up from me.  This story that I am writing here is backed by at least a hand full of people that YOU lied to and made promises to purchase animals from.
If you tried to e mail me or call me to get the animal that I was going to give you (and might I remind you and everybody) that it was seperate from the original deal then show a phone record or e mail record here.

as far as the situation with your deal with terry dunham that was totally my fault and I should not have said a word without knowing the entire story.

you can try and hurt my rep go ahead, I can throw at least 100 people hear that have had good dealings with me and are confident that I am a good person to deal with.  
as far as Nat nice job trying to turn us two against each other, it didn't work.  and actually you OWE him a heck of a lot of money for his time, effort and the cash that HE put up front for YOU and YOUR website.  Now it is YOU that will not answer the phone when HE calls you.  Unlike you he does have LEGAL RECOURSE!!!!!!

Evan, I have no idea what Texas state law says about this issue... But this is an issue of State Law, not federal and every state has  different laws surrounding what can be done and what any recordings may be used for after they are created (provided it's  legal to create them). In some states it's quite legal to tape your phone conversations (No idea if Texas is one of them) for  assorted  uses without any prior additional permission to do so.

I know that the entire whitewater scandal made an enormous issue of the legality of Tripp's recordings... but that is because of local laws in Washington D.C. where the recordings  were made.

While most (the majority) of  states have some form  of restriction as to the legality of this (Again, no idea about Texas) or the manner in which it can be performed, not all do. And the area the  recording was made in is the factor  for determining the legality based on the applicable area laws, not the area the call originated from or  was made to... Just the area where the recording device  was located.

It's likely that it was either illegal (anyone good with Texas law?) and it was certainly immoral... But that is not an automatic.

Looking at Gilbert's behavioral pattern... It's also very likely at this point that it's simply a lie  and that no recordings exist. The warrant portion of his story is disgustingly unlikely  anyway... His apologies and promises seem to mean nothing... So why should this be any different?

I can't comment on that.  But you tell your fans what ever you think they wanna hear.  You say you would have heard about it because you know everyone over there.  You do not know where it is coming from.  Or who started it.  All I can say is good luck on it.


As far as the threats --  It is a perceived threat.
A cop is justified at shooting someone with a toy gun.
We are justified in feeling threatened when you say See you at the shows...bring it on i can handle myself etc etc etc.  I am 7 feet tall and can pound you into the ground.

You guys are sounding alot like two others here who were going at it a couple months back.  I won't mention names because I'm pretty sure that at least Ritchie knows who I mean.  
I would just hate to see another ban happen to another important member of the community here on the BOI.  

I hope I haven't offended you TOO much, but just wanted to say that to me and probably several others, it seems ot be turning in that direction.

The really great thing here is that this thread only had a couple hundred hits and not that many people were really concerned about it until Gilbert became his own worst enemy and started the threats and insults. Now there are nearly 10,000 hits on this thread and how many of the people who have viewed it will remember Gilbert's name for all the wrong turns he has taken here? I would think all of them. Our problems are straightened out.
He is a nice guy that was just having a couple set backs.
So exactly like I do....he too took it to the internet.
Everything is fixed.  He is going to fix his buying style.

Sorry all for not letting it die.  But I think i'm losing it here!  Ritchie! "HE's a NICE guy!"  What in the world is going on!  This guy threatens more than one person, makes disgusting sexual remarks, makes racist remarks to people, not to mention his colorful language, and hes a nice guy?!?!  This guy is supposed to be a police officer!  There are kids on this site and Ritchie you say he's a good guy!  What kind of model are we setting for the kids, ourselves, and people in general!  This guy is nothing but a lowlife whom obviously took a position of power to exploit it and nothing less, and now he makes a mockary of us all if any single person here is willing to even speak with this caliber of person.  I however am NOT willing to cut someone of that character any slack whatsoever.  His name will be etched in my memory as a someone to stay miles away from, and should be to all of you as well.  No apologize can excuse they way he conducted himself in a public forum like that, around children no less.  He is a disapointment to say the least and should be the last person on Earth to be wearing any sort of badge.  I normally try to stay very neutral when posting in this public forum, as I do have a business that my name will always be associated with, but this disgusts me and I felt I must give my 2 cents once again.
 
I agree entirely.  Knowing your reputation, Ritchie, the fact that you say he is a nice guy makes me suspicious.  It makes me think that Gilbert has somehow found some way of forcing you to say that.  It just seems SO out of character for you.  After all the things he said, I would never have expected you to make that 180.  If I got caught in a tight spot, even if I got overly defensive, I would not threaten people or throw racial slurs.  I hope we misunderstood you or you wrote the wrong thing, because this makes you look bad too.Gilbert has cemented his reputation in the toilet, and for you to say he is a nice guy doesn't raise him up at all, it just pulls you down.

Say it ain't so!!!  I think I am as confused as everyone else as to why you made this total 180 in regards to this person who has shown HIMSELF to be a less than respectable character.  You mad a TON of good points regarding this guy's actions and now you say he's a "good guy?"  

I know that you have no obligation to explain any of your reasons to anyone here and personally in my eyes I still think you're a stand up guy, but I would hate your rep to get dinged up buy endorsing a person who has made personal threats, lude comments/requests, racial slurs, and various other bad acts.  

Oh well, I'm sure you have your reasons.  And Gilbert, if you were able to convince RITCHIE that you are really a good guy despite everything, either you are the BEST con artist on earth, or you have come up with the ULTIMATE threat against him.  

Oh well, back to my window to watch those pigs fly by...

you guys are right.  You deserve an explanation.

I had some e-mails with him trying to argue with him and such.
Trying to show the world his "personality flaws".  But I got tired of the arguing.  There is too much of that going on.  Besides what do I have to prove?  That he is a wishy washy buyer?  He already did that himself and admits to it..  I can't prove that he ripped of anyone.  Because he has not.  I do not have to prove his behavior and threats.  He has done that himself and admits to his bad behavior.  I like to come one a thread and help a person show their true self.  But in this case he did that himself.  So my coming to this thread was a complete waste of time, energy and sleep.
So I told him I am done arguing.  I am tired of arguing.  I belive he is a nice guy who let his troubles with the world get the best of him.  I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.  He was okay until he felt the need to defend hmself against the "clique".  And that can make a person get ugly in defense.
I am not gonna make excuses for him though.  He will probably pay for his actions in this thread for a long loong time.

I am giving him the benefit of the doubt like I gave Adam block the benefit of the doubt.  But Adam proved himself to be a two faced liar....and he betrayed my trust in the most serious way.  (And that is a bad thing to do)

No he has not threatened me.  I do not respond well to threats against me directly.  If he had a "ULTIMATE" threat against me.....his name would be on every single classified add and forum I can find.

Oh yeah.  He has also apologized to me.
What can I do?  I am a softy at heart.
I am actually a lot more patient, kinder and shy than my posts make me out to be.
