Basically I paid $550 before this reptile. When I went to FedEx to pick it up the box had a stench that was horrible.. I also noticed that the box was only about a foot-and-a-half long and the animal was supposed to be 4 feet. When I open the box I could barely breathe. The poor lizard had burn marks all over was completely bloated with for heat packs inside. He had been shoved in the box with his tail bent over his head. He had been dead for several hours at least. I did agree that he should ship but I also paid 150 for him to ship with syr and assumed that he would ship in a humane way. He tortured the poor thing. Just to settle this quickly I told him to refund me 275 which was 50%. As you can see he is cursing and refusing.

I disagree that you cannot safely ship large lizards via SYR. However, that is not the way to do it. Further messages providing evidence of your instructions for shipping (which it appears you did not adequately provide after you "convince him to use SYR") would help clarify this situation. Sounds like blame could be placed on both parties for a lack of clear communication. If he needed to be convinced to ship the rational assumption would be that he didn't know how to unless there is evidence suggesting otherwise. No doubt a nightmare experience for the animal regardless and I would agree some refund is probably owed.

And look how he stuffed her in a tiny box

And now he won't even agree to my offer of a 50 percent refund

This had zero to do with the cold weather

It was a big animal in a tiny box burned !!!

I'm confused - did the seller want to ship with Delta but you talked him into using SYR? Obviously that in no way excuses an animal being shipped like that, but I'm wondering what the seller's preference for shipping was. Of course, it's up to the seller not to ship if they feel it's not appropriate.

It's hard to imagine any sane person shoving a large monitor into a tiny box like that. It almost seems maliciously done. I'm just speculating, but who would think that would be ok? I actually hope it was dead first, and he did not kill the animal by this treatment. If the animal was alive when sent, I would contact the authorities regarding animal abuse and neglect.

He wanted the ship but it didn't really have a preference. I have had some good experiences with ship your reptile so I said he should look into it. That was all. Actually since the animal was burned to death in a tiny box it would have been better had it been colder!
