• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was reading the classifieds and noticed that one seller had the following in his ad: "Will also provide 20+ names, emails, and phone numbers of people I have sold to in the last 2months."

I'm hoping that each of the customers above gave permission for the use of this info. I know that I would not want to become part of a published client list unless I expressly agreed.

:ack2: I agree. :iagree:
The seller would probably benefit more having a Feedback Page on a website.

Yeah that's b.s. I just asked to be removed from a mailing list...not so much because i don't want to get the email, but it annoyed me that i never asked to be put on a list, and never bought anything from them. I sent them one email two years ago that i never got a reply to, now all of the sudden im on their email list?

I agree. The only people that get a mailing list from me, are those that ASKED to be informed when I have some new animals for sale.

I hate "junk mail" filling up my inbox myself. :)

I will only provide references from people that I have asked permission to do so and I won't give out anything but their E-mail address. I will only give this info out if the person that is thinking about purchasing from me requests it.

There is no way I would give out my client list like that... and I would personally shy away from doing business with anyone that did. When a customer does business with you... they put trust in you... and giving out their personal info to a stranger breaks that trust.
