In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Their website is down, they are not answering my emails, and I heard through the gecko grapvine that Mark & Denice split up. That would be unfortunate, but has anyone heard from them or are these more than just rumors. JERRY TRESSER

The grapevine sure is twisted isn't it?

I have also heard the same thing. I saw a post on Kingsnake forums about the very same topic. A reply post stated someone had said they spoke to Mark and Denise and the site was down temporarily. A friend who attended the Florida Red Carpet Inn show says he saw the GG there just this past Saturday. I only hope they arn't going anywhere as they are the best when it comes to Leopards. Both Mark and Denise are just great people and the Reptile world wouldn't be the same without them. I honestly owe the two of them a great debt of gratitude for helping me every possible way in my endevors when I started with Leopards. Not only did they supply me with some of the finest stock answered any question I might have had. I know this is more of an inquiry post rather than a good guy post on them but hey just to say it, Mark and Denise are defiently "good guys".

JERRY, By the Way, I have been eyeballing all your beautiful geckos posted lately and man! those are some gorgeous specimens!

Thanks,
Michael Beberman

Golden Gecko was here at the Atlanta show just last month. Didn't seem to be any problems(but then again I don't know them personally nor did I hang out at their table long as I had my own to worry about).

Jerry, I would probably just say it's the rumor wheel spinning again. I remember two years ago there was one about Dave and Tracy Barker splitting up floating around. Just rumors.

And Jerry, I have to second what Mike said, you've got some nice ones for sale:) I was hoping to catch you at Daytona again to chat a little, but I missed your table somehow:(
Anyway, just wanted to let you know I send my best and that business keeps prospering!

Cheers!

I am not that computer savy,

but a friend of mine told me that their website is down for good. I also understand that Denice has now gone into the dog breeding business and Mark has moved to Ft lauderdale.

You are correct in that they both were excellent breeder, and enjoyable to be around with. Without going into to much detail I was very instrumental in helping them with the busness end of their enterprise when they incorporated as Golden Gecko. I generally stay out of rumor mills, and I was hoping that someone would have told me that I was mistaken, but regretably, their seems to be an overwhelming feeling that the information that I provided in my original post is accurate.

It will be a loss to the Gecko industry, and especially for Leopard breeders. They were hard working people who did not have the forsight to broaden their inventory during the slump that seems to have befallen gecko sales in particular. I dont know what this is indicitive of , but it may be the beginning of a larger reptile recession to come. Also, thanks for the kind words on my inventory, Iam just glad its not my main occupation, but rather my enjoyable hobby, and I guess it shows. JERRY TRESSER

Well that sucks!

Well it sucks that they went out of business! I sent payment over a year ago for a female pattern less and female high yellow, and never received them! I always thought they forgot about me. I have had very little luck contacting them, and now it looks as if I'll never get the geckos I ordered. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Justyn

I am very surprised to hear that. Usually their dealings, from what I had heard were always honorable. A year seems like a long time, Iam surprised that you did not contact them sooner. They always attended a variety of shows and were always visible.

Although I never dealt with Leopards, that was their lifeline of business, and I find it difficult to think that they would jeapordize a good business name for the sake of 1 gecko. JERRY TRESSER

I agree with Jerry in the fact that I have always recieved A++++ serivce from them each and everytime. I have probably purchased over 100 Leopards from them at one point in time or another and was always completely satisfied. Every gecko I recieved wether normal to carrot tails even albinos have been geckos that were all flawless and in excellent condition. Justyn sorry to hear of your trouble but not to sound silly or anything but are you sure it was them? I mean they produce more Leopards than me and a dozen other guys and they have been in the business much longer than all of us combined. It just shocks me to hear anything less than they were 100% at any point.

I was at the reptile show in Ft. Lauderdale and Mark was there with a table full of beautiful animals. He said he was going to go to the reptile show at Flamingo Gardens, December 29.

I did try to contact them serveral times without any luck. I just gave up after awhile though. I'm not saying they don't run an honest business, I guess they just might have lost some paperwork or something, I don't know....
