I have had the pleasure of dealing with Scott & Elizabeth over the past 5 months, mostly in person at his shop in Lakeland, Florida.
First of all, I just have to say, Scott & Elizabeth are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, & their staff are just as friendly. Living in Orlando / Kissimmee, & keeping mostly ball pythons, it's VERY difficult to find live feeders, especially at an affordable price. In this aspect, Family Reptiles has been a GODSEND for us! We drive down there every Saturday to pick up feeders & spend the day talking about all aspects of Ball Python breeding, genetics, & husbandry with everyone at the shop. Yes, all those at Family Reptiles are THAT nice [ & their feeders that well-priced ] it's worth the hour drive one-way to visit every weekend.
Scott's storefront is VERY clean & very well-kept, as are his rodents. By far the cleanest store I've personally seen that sells any type of animal. Someone is always cleaning out the ball & rodent racks, feeding the animals at the store, sweeping up, or wiping down the counters.
In addition to buying feeders every week, we have also purchased several ball pythons bred by Scott & Elizabeth. To-date, we have bought 2011 1.0 Pewter, .1 Super Pastel, .1 Silver Bullet, 2010 .1 Spider, & 2010 .1 Pastel.
Scott is also very helpful when it comes to guiding us as we venture into the world of Ball Python breeding, answering all and any questions we might have honestly & earnestly. He even helped us out with our non-feeder ball [ that was NOT purchased from him ] & did everything he could to get the little guy to eat again.
All & all, my husband & I love everything about Family Reptiles & will continue going back there for both quality snakes & feeders for the rest of our collection. Scott, Elizabeth...& all the staff [ Jay, Mike, Chris, Justin, Nick...] have become great friends. Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend them!
