    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I live in NM, which doesn't seem to be big on boas. I'd like to go to a reptile show at some point. What are some shows that you would recommend? I have family in CA so a show there may be preferable but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Jessica, I can't speak for New Mexico, but Cali does have quite a few good ones -- at least six or so. They include the NARBC show (Anaheim, in September), the Reptile Super Shows (four of them, I believe, the next one in San Diego in July LGR will be vending :::shameless plug::: ;-) ), Herp World Expo, and I'm sure others! You should come on out!

Which tends to be a better show, the NARBC or Super Show? Or are they both pretty equal? Thanks for the response. I'm definitely looking into getting to one :)

Bring extra clothes to change out of before going home from the shows.And a plastic garbage bag to put them into. And dont forget the mite spray.
Some are very nice,but i always see mites at the shows,so take care when going there and handling reptiles. I think anyone found with mites at their table should be escorted out.They climb from table to table. I started going to shows back about 5 years ago. Every sunglow i wanted to buy had mites.(3)That was at the Nc show,NYC and the new NH one.

If its too good to be true,stay away. lol.

They are both exceptional shows. If this is your first visit, however, I'd aim for NARBC -- not because it's a better show, but because you'll have many more chances to catch a RSS due to its four annual timeslots, whereas NARBC only rolls around once per year. You won't go wrong either way, though.
