• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Goodbye Kuhn

I took a nap today when wife came home and woke me up crying. My 17.5 yr old cat Kuhn 's back legs were not working. He was in no pain. Vet thinks stroke. So due to age vet said probably best to let him go so we did. Nothing harder (at least for me) is putting down one of my pets. He was an extremely lovable guy.

My condolences on the loss of your kitty Kuhn. He was a magnificent cat. It is so difficult to lose a beautiful pet you've have for such an extended amount of time.

I think we would all take 17.5 years for our furry ones. And if you're questioning yourself at all, which you shouldn't, rather a day too early, than a minute too late. You did right by your friend.
Peace for Kuhn.

Thanks all. Morning routine is not the same. Just glad he didn't suffer.

If it should be, that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then, you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
Don't let your grief stay your hand,
For this day more than the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We've had so many years,
What is to come can hold no fear.
You'd not want me to suffer, so
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me to the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you'll see it is a kindness you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Don't grieve it should be you who this thing decides to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold tears.
SMILE, FOR WE WALKED TOGETHER FOR AWHILE

Joe no thanks are needed I was there 2 months ago. My wife and I lost two of our cats Everrest and Winchester and I miss my guys everyday.

Very sorry to hear that Melvin. They are like our own children.
