Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It boils down to a bit more than John lacking self-control. More importantly, he lacks both maturity and integrity. As evidenced by his subsequent actions, his "apology" in the aforementioned thread seems to have been less than sincere. The attempt to circumvent his fine & suspension only confirms his lack of character.

As Jim has alluded, John's past and present behavior is a pretty good indicator of how he would handle a dispute with a customer. There are enough honest breeders with quality animals out there, so dealing with someone who is mentally and emotionally unstable just isn't worth the risk.

There are good, solid, honest vendors out there but too, there are ripoffs and that is one of the purposes of the BOI, to allow people to give their opinion on vendors good or bad. Unfortunately for John, anyone doing a search here on him or his business will see this thread.
Some people would not want to support with their dollars certain behaviors.

I notice you are running some ads on this site Gary. I guess that makes you part of the "Snake Business". Based on your attitude, which side of the 90th percentile would you fall in? I think everyone who has read your posts on this thread has formed a pretty solid opinion.

People judge me by my snakes, not my tolerance for stupid people...which happens to be pretty low along with Jas from what i know about him.....

and this "business" isnt how i make money either, its how i lose it! haha Nobody gets into this business to make a profit these days but fools...im about $20k behind even breaking even and couldnt care less. I like the snakes and the projects i have going. If i break even by the time im 80 years old then fine but i dont expect too...

Perhaps it's not that you can't speak your mind, but how you do it that is met with resistance. :shrug01: There are many of us who are not exactly known for holding back our opinions. It's just that most of us try to word it in an appropriate manner. Laughing and making light of an attack on a lady is not appropriate, no matter how you try and slice it.


BTW, I see you are still able to post. Does that make you a Sheeple too?

I have had my differences with him, but we worked it out and we are cool. I think when John called a turd a turd, he got it right.

Some people on here will take a jab at anyone, but when their eye gets blacked, they cry like a baby for the next 20 years.

If you got a beef with John, handle it in person but I think the chances of that aren't good.

Well, actually Gary, I do consider myself a professional herpetoculturist, and this business is far from a joke to myself and many other dedicated professionals that post here. I also have no problems making it in a regular job, although I've been lucky enough not to have had one (other than the geckos) since 1999. I happen to think that John has great animals (just going by the looks of them in photos I have seen) and think he would probably be a fun guy to party with. However, his post above was dumb, not funny, and yes, unprofessional.

Wow, Gary, maybe you should hire me as your "professional" (haha) consultant! I'm not going to post here what my profit for 2007 will end up being, but suffice it to say that it will be more than 5 figures. One of the main reasons I believe I have done so well is that I am a professional, and do my best to conduct myself as such.
