Policies
***Starting 12/9 I have officially registered Gran Exotics Inc. as a company in FL and I must add a 7% Fee to every purchase that is within the state of FL. Shipping will NOT be taxed, only livestock and supplies.
Every animal purchase comes with LAG (Live Arrival Guarantee) EXCEPT for freebies. In the event that an animal arrives dead, I will either send you a replacement of the same species, a different species of same value of your choosing, or a refund (refund NOT including shipping cost). Must notify me within an hour of arrival and must send a clear picture or video of the specimen(s). Must be available on first delivery attempt or LAG will be void. I am NOT responsible for any problems or delays that may happen from the carrier. If temperatures are over 90° or under 62°, depending on the specimen I will need to send a heat pack or cold pack for the safety of the animal which is generally an additional charge. Will NOT ship if temps are over 95° or under 38°. Shipments can go through either USPS or FedEx. If no particular option is preferred, USPS is generally used. If using FedEx, LAG is only applicable if sent to a nearby hub for pickup and sent only Tuesday or Wednesday. All reptiles and amphibians are shipped overnight. Invertebrates can be shipped either overnight or priority (Generally 2-3 days, but can take longer). Shipment will NOT be eligible for LAG if priority shipping is chosen.
I accept deposits. A deposit can be left for multiple animals. The minimum for a deposit is generally 50% (only the cost of the animal), if an animal is over $500 the minimum is 40%. $1,000 or more is 25%. Deposits are refundable ONLY if requested before 3 days, otherwise they are non-refundable. A deposit can be transferred to a different animal if chosen. The maximum amount of time for an animal to be held is 1 month if the animal is worth less than $500. Any animal $500 or more can be held for no longer than 2 months unless shipping weather is unsuitable and must be held until weather is favorable. If a deposit is not completed by the time the specimen(s) is/are supposed to be shipped, it will no longer be held and will become available to the public and the previous deposit will NOT be refunded.
All animals that are sexed are guaranteed for 2 months. If the sex of any animal is challenged or found to be otherwise opposite of what was purchased within 2 months of animal arrival, I will refund 50% of the value of the animal or I would request you to send back the animal in exchange for the same animal of the opposite sex. Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense.
Please do research on the legality of any animal you are interested in. I am NOT responsible in any way for confiscated purchases due to an animal being illegal in your state.
For payment, I accept PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, or Zelle. Please note that if you choose to use PayPal and send payment through “Goods or Services”, please add an additional 3.6% to total payment.
