In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok. I have a 17month old bearded dragon. The male is 5yrs. I had her out roaming and walked in my closet to separate my cloths for washing. And when I came out my male was mating with her (connected) :ack2: I forgot to lock his cage. So I guess he saw her and ran after her. I was in the closet for like 3-4 mins. Anyway, I am no beginner reptile enthusiast. I have a hovabator (vermiculite, deli cups), and I make custom enclosure, have a dubia colony and a mealworm Colony. So food, housing, lighting, incubation is no problem for me.
This happened on February 9th.
Now my girl is digging constantly in the cage, so I have her lay box with a mixture of sand and soil. She has dug two deep holes, but hasn't layed.
She has also gone off her food completely after being a eating monster 2 weeks ago. Which I know is normal.

The question is looking at the pictures would you say she looks gravid? The first picture is her 1 week ago. Obviously gravid. The 2nd, and 3rd pic is her today. She doesn't look as gravid to me anymore.

What do you think?

Thank you all for his answer.

That's one of the things that's trippin me out. I was able to feel them slightly last week, But i no longer feel them now. She is running around her cage right now as I type. I 'm gonna put her back in her lay box now.

Are you 100% sure she did not already lay? Does she live on sand? I have had them lay them secretly in the sand(normally I finding them too late)

I don't use substrate, I only use tiles in my beardies cages. She is still round and her stomach is heavy for lack of a better term. Currently she is backing herself in her holes and just sits there. But this is like the 4th time she has done that in the past 2 days.

When she does that leave her to her peace. Dont disturb her and she will probably lay if she keeps doing she could be ready to go. good luck its awesome hatching out baby beardies!

She looks very gravid!

It generally takes about 30 days before she will lay. After she lays her eggs she will look very thin and flat. :)

If she isn't digging (right now) she may enjoy a warm bath and may drink.

When my girl layed her first clutch it took her from 11 in the mourning till 1 at night till she finaly was done. the box and sand you have is correct but try making a mound on one side and then on the other end leave a little room then punch a hole with your fist about two inches deep in to the end that is next to the room you left in the box mine usualy get the idea after that and supply a little bit of heat from above. Let us know how many she lays.

CAN FEEL THE EGGS

Ok so she has been sitting in her hole she dug for the past 2.5 hours with her eyes closed. I just gave her an nice warm bath, and could definitely feel the eggs again. I put her back in her viv and will put her back in the lay box when she starts running around again. I can't physically see the eggs, so I thought she absorbed them or something. But when she's in the water and relaxed I definitely can feel and see the bumps. :D

I usually leave my females in their laying container, as sometimes they will lay first thing in the morning. As long as she has a heat source she will be fine.

She laying

Hey guys she is now laying her eggs. There ave been between 7-10 since I have been in here. But she was going before I noticed. I can't see in the hole, so I don't know how many are in there. Will keep you guys updating on how many.
Thank you all very much

I find the best incubating temps are between 82-84 at this it does take them a little longer to hatch but they grow to be a larger size than 84-86 which is still good around these temps your dragons will hatch sooner and I find( an opinion ) the colors they display are more vivid but again do not try to push it up to high cause too warm is a bad thing and do not worry about moving them around or upside down when you are excavating for the eggs ( but do not be rough ) it is okay but after they are in the incubator be cautious. If you ever have any Q's about them just ask me Ill help you!

18 eggs

Ok you guys she had 18 eggs and all look to be fertile. Well at least they look fertile to me, all white and perfectly shaped.
Thank you all,'Will keep you posted on how everything is going, and if any problem (god forbid) arise, I am definitely coming to you guys.

Egg Question

Okay. So when my beardie was laying her eggs, she would push them back deeper in the hole with her back feet. Now I have a question about incubating them in the correct position. I recovered them and placed them in the vermiculite in the position they were found. Now it has been 3 days, well Sunday night. I can see the red embryo, but some of them are on the upperside right/left side of the egg. They are not centered. I just put them in there the way she layed them. I don't want to move them, but is this fine? Or should I place them so the embryo is upright? My concern is that I know once in incubation they start to develop, and shifting there position can be detrimental to the embryo.
