In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My normal girl just shed and now she's really bright. Almost doesn't look like a normal anymore! She looks kind of lumpy too. Haven't really noticed her on the warm side of her tub lately though, yet. She was with a male before, but I don't have access to him to put back with her.
Do they have to stay with the male to have good eggs? This will be my very first clutch of eggs if she really is gravid.

They breed for awhile then she sheds and they breed for awhile more while she starts to sit on the cool side mostly, which is the start of follicle growth. They will continue to breed and she will continue to sit on cool side and her follicles will continue to grow.
Then she will shed again and go into "glow" shortly after the pre-ov shed. About 8 weeks later they ovulate and then 2 weeks later shed and then 30ish days until eggs.
If you're female is brighter than ever and she just shed that would have been her pre-ov shed which means she's not gravid yet

This is a great time to breed them, but if you no longer have him then you can only hope she retained from the previous pairings.

I never had him, but if my orange ghost boy was here already I would put him with her just to make sure.

never had a female go through a pre ov shed only post ovulation shed. the only way to tell if she is producing follicles is to either ultrasound or feel for the follicles which can be hard to do if you do not know what to feel for. is she still eating or off feed typically a female will go off feed once she has ovulated or just before, at least that is what all my females do. Good luck.

Her personality has also gone through a drastic change. She was the sweetest thing ever and loved to be out and crawling over my arms. Now she's aggressive and doesn't want touched. She feels heavier than she did before.

I've seen her laying inverted before too.

I was going to try and pick her up and let her hang straight to see if her body shape is any different too. I have the incubator set up and running just in case.

if you feel comfortable you could always feel for the eggs count from her last shed 38 days and she should lay right around there. I have had females lay at 35 days and all the way to 45 days.

I really don't feel very comfortable feeling around for eggs. I'm worried I might hurt her.

Then leave her alone and if you know when she last shed that will give you a good idea of about when she may lay. check in on her every day. best of luck for a nice basket of eggs.

Have you noticed if she has ovulated yet, it lasts any were from 24 to 48 hours she would of had a mid body swell, looks like they ate a jumbo rat. some of my females have a pre ovulation shed and look really bright after words and some only have a pre lay shed. Just keep a eye on her and good luck!!!!!!

I'm not good at telling the ovulations. lol I think she looks bigger then I don't know when I look at her again. She JUST shed a few days ago. And now she is super light color.
