In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How about some food for thought while this system is down over the weekend for the conversion?

I am thinking about setting up something whereby persons and business are issued a serialized graphics certificate that will identify them as being a 'Good Guy'?  Kind of like a Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, or some such thing.

Yeah, I know there are a lot of wrinkles to be ironed out, but I think it may be time to set up something that will immediately recognize those people whom the majority of people here feel warrant that recognition.

Let's kick this around until I take the system down late Friday night, then we can resume on Monday when I bring it back online.

Sounds good to me! I think that is a great idea. 5 good guy posts and your in the club?

I'm still thinking about how best to implement something like this.  I'm not sure if I want to set up a general voting poll or have a committee that will be voted into 'office' in order to oversee this whole thing.  Like I said, this needs some more thought.

Once I am through with the converstion, I will probably set up a series of polls to get some feedback from you all on how to do this.  I will not jump into this blindly and you all will know my reasons for whatever way I try to implement this.

Lacey Wilson has already made up a certificate graphic and my intention is to put a serial number on each one assigned to someone.  There can ONLY be one registration number assigned for each graphic. There will be a registration page that the graphics need to link to that will officially list all holders of a certificate.  That will hopefully cut down on the number of counterfeit certificates that will certainly crop up here and there.

Of course this will be voluntary, and as such, I think it best that the person or business itself must apply for the certificate.  I think it best that someone must WANT to do this, as there will likely be stipulations attached to the privilege of displaying it.   Basically ethical guidelines that should be followed.

More later.........

Thanks.

There are very few people that I buy animals from without asking 1000 questions. Here they are:

Brian & Lori Barcyzk of BHB Enterprises- people always complain because Brian is hard to get a hold of but you would be too if you had that many snakes! I have purchased in the thousands of animals from Brian in the past 12+ years and have had 1 that would not eat. He replaced it!

Brian Sharp- aside from how much I love giving him a hard time at shows, Brian is a super nice guy with nothing put perfect animals. Several times I have bought high end stuff from him unseen and he said "Trust me, I'll send you a good one" and the albino balls, albino retics, hondurans, etc., have all been awesome!

Mark and Kim Bell- much like BHB, they are from here in Michigan and I have been buying from them for over a decade. Everything from bulk leopard geckos to albino ball pythons. Super nice people who know what they are doing and have an enormous selection.

Mark Baldell- The Golden Gecko- just another super quality guy with only the best animals! He is a great person to talk to, hang out with and to do business with.

David Doherty- Dave is one of the origional Honduran Milksnake breeders, his animals as always as advertised or better. He is a great guy and very knowledgable. I have spent a bunch of money with Dave and will keep doing so until he cuts me off!

Ric Blair- super to deal with, great animals and another nice guy to talk with. Everything that I have ever gotten from him has been superb!

Don Hamper- Don has been really treating me great since I was just a kid who kept snakes. Maybe one of the reasons I have as much as I do. He is a great person and always has a tremendous selection of goodies (and a big chunk of flan when we go out to diner!)

Bob & Sheri Ashley-Eco- Bob is a great guy with terrific stuff. He does not breed many animals anymore but buys and sells some of the best looking critters you will see. Sheri keeps me in line (well, she tries anyway).

Here are some others that are really good to deal with:
Joe Dembinski (I forgive you for not buying everything I want to sell you Joe!)
NERD (I finally sold Bill & Kevin a snake at Philly!)
Ralph Davis
Corey Woods
Regal Reptile (it's Pat for spiders, period!)

I'm sure that I have forgotten a bunch of people, but this is a good start. Evan Stahl

Dembinski Reptiles

Hey Evan,

Go to my updated homepage link. As I told you in Philly this was my FIRST priority (See pic on top of the page), if the deal fell threw, I was going to snag up your stuff. Needless to say, that drained my funds !!! LOL !!!
I emailed you, as promised, with a update as well. People put it this way, its not IF I will buy from Evan, its WHEN. I guess you can mark that up as a good guy post !! Evan just likes busting balls and time to bust some back !! (Evan knows what I mean). You cant go wrong with Evan, period.

Thanks,

Joe Dembinski

Well, I had to think about giving this one a reply. I've dealt with a lot of great people and while I'm sure this list is leaving many out take take offence if I forgot you. I always do this stuff when I'm tired. In any event, I but from so few people this list is made up of what I consider great people to deal with. I would define that as somebody who does what they say they're going to do when they say they will. Many are great friends and many were just great people to do business with and talk to. Thanks for a lot of good conversations!
