Hello all
I am a longtime lover of all things creepy, crawly, and slithery. I was forever catching green anoles & 5 lined skinks as a kid, along with crickets, flying grasshoppers, rollie pollies, and even ant lions.
I never had any reptiles as pets growing up. Our family had dogs, a cat, several hamsters over the years and parakeets and a cockatiel growing up. We did rescue several wild bunnies as babies that we released later, once grown. I did hold every snake or larger lizard I could whenever photo ops or opportunities came about.
Mom always said no to snakes because she just couldn't see feeding a pet to a pet.
Fast forward to adulthood and our fist 4 legged child was an adult iguana we adopted. That started our journey into reptile keeping, mostly lizards, over 20 years ago.
In 2023, our kiddo fell in love with a ball python at the pet store. After having kept lizards for quite some time, we went home to do our research. Several months later, we bought out first ball python, and rose to 7 noodles in less than 2 years. Gotta catch em all? And what's not to love about their cute little boopable snoots!
