• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Greg Johnson <[email protected]> *Scammer*

I got an PM from him today asking if my animal still available when I just posted it (right there red warning for me) then asking me to communicate on his email (2nd red warning). we have Fauna PM for a reason so we do not have to disclose our private emails. This so call Greg smelled like a scam from a mile away. Glad he was banned.

He Must Be on a Roll Today

Got one myself now after many weeks and nothing. Asked about some turtles so thought what the hell. Used Greg Johnson email: [email protected] again.

He asked "still up for sale?"
My reply was "Yes they are still up for sale. They are $379,000 each but if you want both will do a good deal for only $758,000. Plus free 3 day shipping."

Really glad someone posted here with his email address. I got the same message this weekend, saying "Am paying by cashier's check, I'll add $50 for keeping it in my favor." Googled the [email protected] address, and this popped right up. Thanks everyone!

Greg Johnson

I new It was a scam from the get go . Last year I had a check sent to me for 1700 dollars way over the asking price. I gave the check to the Postal Inspection service . Jeff the Postal Inspector said this goes on all the time and it was most likely a Nigerian scammer living in the U.S.Last night he e mailed me on two of my adds. I told him I only do Western Union money orders or Postal Money orders. And he was obviously not going to use Pay Pal. This Greg Johnson wanted my address so I gave him my parents address in Sun Lakes AZ. I called my dad up to let him know that if it comes in the mail to your house and its not a money order just through it in the trash can.

If you read the whole thread and the few others on this guy and his scam to sellers on here, you will get it. I was simply being facetious regarding the price to and for him and the way of shipping. Because no matter what you tell him he agrees with you with the same responses regardless.

Ed is referring to telling him(the scammer) to overnight the fake check to you so he'd be out the money on shipping charges not your shipping of the animal to the scammer. I'm sure he read everything as well. Ed is very knowledgeable and helpful on here.

Correct... If more people did it, you'd see a whole lot less of them trying to work the scam...

he has text me from socal at least 3 times...lets have some fun!

how is it that the check came priority mail from Express scripts? Can a scammer use a fake return address on something like this?

It would be great if the scammer was using their real work address and we could tell Express scripts and get the jerk arrested. Sigh. Probably a fake return address.

Just wanted to have some fun so looked up the M & T Bank address on the check you got from this scammer. Found that Amherst, NY is a suburb of Buffalo but the zip code given for Amherst is for Rochester, NY. What an idiot this guy is. The Express Scripts, Inc address given is a private home on the NE side of Indianapolis not Express Scripts' real location on the SW side not far from the airport. The payer written on the check is Seashell Painting in Milton, DE an actual real business again unaware their name is being used in this scam. Just thought would share FYI.
