In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here's a few pic's of my guy. He didn't try to bite me at all this day! I even had him as wrist jewelry for about 30 minutes as I walked around the house and watched tv.

Here's a couple pic's of my lav tiger retic. He's 4' now and eating between wr and sr's every 4 days to keep him happy. I'm about to build him his forever enclosure and am gonna it once. Should I give him more ground space or sorter ground space and some height? I have this in mind. Ground space: 8'-12'W x 2'D x 4'T or some height: 8'complete length x 2'D and 6'T x 4'W on the high end and 2'T x 4'W on the short end. So an (L) turned on it's side. Which would be better for him and cleaning for me when I'm 60-70 yrs old?

Here's a couple pic's of the enclosure I'm just about down with. It's a metal shelving unit with birch wood and white plastic wall panel throughout the inside. Have a 160watt heat panel coming and 1/4" double sliding window tracks for when I can find some glass BIG enough for this. The measurements are
8'W x 2'D x 3'T.

The 1st pic is when I got him at the end of May I think. Very snappy!! About 2' long and 1" in diameter. Now, 4 months later, much nicer, about 5' long and 2" in diameter. A little moody before he poo's and very squirmy for the 1st 5 minutes and then much slower and stays around neck and shoulders.

New pic of the finished 8'W x 2'D x 3'T enclosure for Willard. I didn't like the swinging doors, so put some double sliding track and 1/4" tempered glass. The glass is 30"T x 25"W.

Here's Willard!! He's about or just over 6'. Wish I had my tape measure with me. That second pic would've been easy to measure.

Yeah, Steve I made it myself. It's a little over kill I'm thinking now. It's 8W x 2D x 3T and the 3T is the over kill. He's just over 7' now and so calm. It's probably been 4 months since the last time I was tagged. He really wanted to get acquainted with me them 1st few months.

I'm enjoying seeing him grow. For those of us keeping "lesser" snakes it's hard to imagine how quickly retics get so big. Glad he's settling down on the tagging front - might be less fun in a few months!:)

Cause of breeding? I've read that, but still not all males will do it. I have bp's breeding and he didn't eat for about a month and someone told me to give him a soak and BAMM! He's back to eating.

Here's a few updated pic's of Willard. The tub pic is a dedicated soaking tub for my snakes. I have 2 other bathrooms for myself.

A great beauty! Mine got to that size and her attitude took a turn for the worst. I'm only 4'10" and about 115lbs so needless to say she was sold to a large gentleman who wanted to breed her lol. I'm glad theirs a good behaved, and good looking boy like this out there tho! Good work.

Thanks. He wanted to get acquainted with me when a baby for about 2 months, but with hook training and learning you can't reprimand for bad behavior as you can other animals lol, he has been really great. I just make some noise before I reach in to grab him very slowly, but confidently and he's no problem. Kids stop by to hold him.

Caught Willard hanging around the other day. During the day, I like it when he's out and about during the day and to see him playing on his kinda sorta jungle gym is nice. I thought this enclosure was too big for him, but I think he'll be happy in it. 8' x 2' x 3'

Here's a couple pic's of Willard, a neighbor and her friend. The girls are around 12-14 yrs old. The girl in the tie dye shirt has seen and held Willard before, but her friend has NEVER touched a snake. It took her about 15 mintues or so to warm up to touch him and eventually held him on her own. I don't know much, but show and teach the kids what I've learned and know of their disposition, but reassured them that they can turn at anytime, just like anything in life.

This is awesome I love seeing other people who love reptiles as much and more then me!! He is a great looking snake!!

Some more pic's of Willard yall. Still under 8', but back to eating 2 s/m sized rats every 8 days or so. He slowed down over the winter, but seems to be back at it. I still get him out every other day or so. He's soooo much sweeter than when I got him almost a year ago at under 2'. I just tap on the glass and then his hide and then grab him and he's fine.
