    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to get a feel for what some of you have experienced over the years.

I have a pair of black pines hatched in August of '04. Both are very healthy and great feeders. They are both around the 3 foot mark. I have not pushed them as I want healthy pets first and breeders as just an added bonus. They take 2 rat pups at a feeding about every 10 days. We saw an adult female at the zoo last night (maybe calico or pied!!!!) that is easily double the size of my male (the largest of my two).

I have been planning to breed mine in '08 if they are ready. At what age have you all observed your pits reaching adult sizes? Should I increase their schedule? Am I stunting them, or is slow and steady the way to go?

I don't have any experience with black pines but as far as pits go sounds like they are growing pretty slow. They sometimes grow at different rates. I have an albino male bull that was 48 inches by the age of one! I didn't powerfeed him either. All my others were easily over 30 inches at one year old.
