    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all! I am recently back into herping after a long absence and have always been a fan of GTP's. I only have kingsnakes now, but would love to grow my collection, but have heard mixed comments on keeping GTP's as a relative newbie. I very much enjoy handling my other snakes and would desire to do so with this addition as well. I know that attitude is subject to the individual animal, but I also know that certain subspecies are more or less aggressive than others. Any and all information and/or advice from you all would be greatly appreciated!

BTW, this site rocks! Never would I have dreamed of a place like this when I use to collect!

Here you go Chad :)

I've handled quite a few and been bitten quite a few times as well. As with most arboreal snakes, it's easier to get bitten when the snake thinks your hand is food or when they think you are going to harm them. Other then that it's not that hard not to get bitten. It's all about how you approach and connect contact.

Thank you very much for the info! I had forgotten about this post. I have turned toward Ball Pythons to grow my collection currently, but I can not help but think that I will have one of theses beautiful GTP's one day!

Thanks again for the info and the link! It was very informative and helpful!
