    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Gus is a great guy and is one of the most knowledgable reptile breeders in the trade. He has some of the nicest specimens available anywhere. You would do well to obtain animals from him.
 
Definitely a class act. Gus is a founder of several of the locality projects currently available in the US today and one of the most consistent boa breeders around. Top notch animals, decades of experience and a true dedication to herpetoculture.

You will do well with anything you purchase from Rio Bravo, so buy with confidence.
 
Professional. Top Notch and has extremely high quality animals. Most likely been breeding boas since before my birth. I have done and will do and not hesitate to buy from him. even sight unseen. He is one of the best PERIOD.

Gus is awesome, I met him at daytona 2 years ago. He has some beautiful animals.

A Tip of my hat

to Gus @ Rio Bravo. I purchased a Caulker Cay male and it arrived today. It is my first boa and my first internet reptile purchase. Packaging and communication was top notch. There are so many horror stories on the forum and I want to remind all that Gus is one of the good ones. Thanks, John Bell
 
Hands down Gus is one of the brightest herpetologists in the industry today and is a fantastic person as well - he'll be an asset to your contact list.
 
Just another echo....

As everyone else has stated, Gus is definitely one of the good guys! The plus to dealing with someone like Gus is not only that he has great animals, but that he can back it all up with vast amounts of practical knowledge. Let us know how it goes. Take care!
 
My one and only experience with Gus...

Gus contacted me with an offer, he had a group of locale emoryi he wanted to move out. His words to me were, You can have them at no cost except shipping, one condition, "no dickering"!

Great, I e-mailed back and said I'd love to take him up on his offer. How many and what size are they? (so I can set up cages).

His reply was, Nope, you blew it. Sorry!

Maybe I just caught him on a bad day but I felt about 2 inches tall.

That's it, take it for what it is.
 
Gus is a good guy

I have bought locality specific animals from Gus in the past and he is straight up on all aspects of the business .
 
I just got a male Cay Caulker from Gus. As always, I got an incredible animal with great customer service. Came with an informative care sheet, which had some information I hadn't heard before, and I thought that I was fairly well educated on the subject.

George, if you don't put your full name in each post on the BOI, the mods will delete your posts. Easiest thing to do would be to go to your profile and add your full name, then it will show up on every post.
 
Gus is A Great Guy ,Have you seen his site he has alot of info on there also,I don't think there is a Reason to Worry about buying from Him, :)
