    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

in a book i have it says there not that good for handling but everyone and on the net says there great

how often do you handle yours for and how long for?

Handle them every day or so depending on how busy i am, usually for ten to fifteen minutes. Some don't like being handled so i handle them for a shorter time or not as often.
Just depends on the particular geckos temperament whether or not they are handleable. I have one for example who is really tolerant of handling and i can keep her out for more than 20 minutes sometimes even longer.

I do not think any gecko likes to be held, but there are geckos that do not mind. I just judge each gecko differently, some of my geckos seem to like coming out while some run and hide. It all depends upon the individual gecko. Good Luck!

I have a few that actually seem to like to be held...well maybe not held but like to have time out of the enclosure to walk around on my hands and arms. I have one that will walk on my hand when I put it in his cage as if he is asking to come out. I also have a couple that dispise even being touched. I will handle them just to try to get them used to it for times when it just has to be done, but I don't over do it with them. If they seem stressed I put them back.

I believe that if you handle them enough as juveniles, most will tolerate frequent handling. If you're persistent, most leos will allow themselves to be handled. I still avoid handling them until they are a few months old anyway. I have a few that can stay out of the rack on someone's arm or hand for hours given the chance. :)

ok how big should it be the leo so it will be good n safe

my new little baby was just a few days old when I held him/her, it was for a few min. as I changed his paper. He was a bit jumpy, but now (at just a month old) he will walk onto my hand from his little house. He's still very jumpy, and I have to keep my hand still and very low to the table in case he jumps for it, but I dont pick him up, he comes right onto my hand. My other ones that I bought as 3 and 5 month olds got handled about every other day, and now they too walk right onto my hand, even when I dont want them too! The female loves to sit on my shoulder and the male loves to cruise around. But my daughter's older female who wasnt handled as much (she was neglected before we got her) will tolerate handling, but doesnt seem to enjoy it all that much. I do think that some get bored in their vivs and look forward to their time 'outside'. I know Im putting human emotions on a reptile, but thats how it APEARS to me; a mushy emotional female human :)
