    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Handoff Renee Stastka libel

Candace, how did you say that Renee should not take a check with someone elses name on it? Here is the check, now explain that again Candace.....:rolleyes:

Alrighty... this is now the absolutely dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life. Not only do you write someone a bad check, but you give them your address and DL# on it knowing it's bad, then you immediately trade the animals away in a traceable fashion. Then, as it that's not boneheaded enough, you go and start a BOI thread about it when the person you scammed starts bitchin' about it?

Candace, I almost have to believe you're telling the truth somehow, because it's hard to believe anyone would be so stupid as to do the above.

I guess this explains why "someone would accept a check with someone else's name on it"

But one thing confuses me. I don't remember Renee ever answering Candace's accusations by saying that Candace's name was on the check and not Kira's? Maybe I'm just confused by the sheer idiocy of all this...

This thread is a mess. I can see why anyone would get confused in here. Now I have to read back to see if Renee ever said anything about that.

No what she figured was that if she made this thread she would scare Renee into taking the loss and not want to pursue it through this conflict. What she did not know was there are more than a few of us in the reptile world that are tired of scumbags in our hobby, and quick to see the innocent being railroaded.

As for the check, it was from Candace, and signed by Candace, there is nothing on that check at all that says anything about any Kira.

I think I would have to digress from this concerning this particular web. Got to admit, it's entertained me to no end for a couple of days now, among other things.

I've always said THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE !!

Right.

And, Renee did due diligence by writing the matching DL information.

What they'll do is grab her state DL pic, and some others which are similar and have you ID her in a "lineup".

Her writing the proper DL#, identifying her through the lineup is enough for a conviction.

If the check was stolen she should have reported it long ago.

She really has no defense. She will spend over $3,000 on this issue now.

When it came time for her to write the check, she showed me her ID and said it was with her "Legal" name and she goes by her family name. Since I go by my middle name, I have 2 sisters that are married and go by different last names, I didn't think anything of it, HOWEVER, I stared at the picture to ensure it was really her and not someone else. Let's not forget, Kira/Candace has the same phone number. If needed, I can pull my phone records to prove that as well. If there's any other questions I can answer, please let me know. I hope this answers your question about the name. I know it is VERY confusing.

Here is the post I remember Renee answering why she would take a check from someone claiming to go by the name Kira. It is on pg. 43, I think. It is post 429, she was mainly going by the driver's license, check & person all matching up. Any of us could be misled by that much proof of a person being who they are.

I for one would not be so quick to take a personal check from someone I just met, but I can understand Renee's reasons for doing so.
