In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, and eats plenty of delicious food with family or friends. (Don't eat romaine.)
If you decide to go for Black Friday deals whether reptile or general, hope you find great deals!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm looking forward to a quiet day with family.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Be thankful for what you have, not envious or resentful for what you don't. There is always someone worse off than you are that would just love to have even a tenth of what you have.

Happy belated Thanksgiving. Mine will be one to remember for awhile. Went to daughter's for dinner. Got called into work for no heat just about time to eat. 45 min's to work, 45 min's to replace belts on blower, 45 min's back and only my in laws there. My granddaughter fell and got 5 stitches in her left eye brow. Took plate home. Went to bed. Wife called at 7 am (I rarely sleep past 6 am) to come get her at emergency room. She fell and separated shoulder. Mind you this is in a major shopping area on Black Friday. Get home and message on home phone from work. Generator alarm going off. Drive 45 min's to work, bad coolant heater. Disconnect (only supposed to get down to 27 for low) will be fine until I can get new one Monday. 45 min back home. I had 4 new tires put on my car which wife took to work because tire store is right across the street. One of the tire sensors went bad about 15 miles into new tires. My car was still in parking lot where she works. My buddy drove me over and I went to tire store. Got back home an hour ago and exhausted. I think me and the pup are going to take a nap.

I'm recovering from surgery, so my hubby cooked on Thursday. He warmed a ham, and put together a lot of side dishes.

It was a little alarming to see him prancing around in my apron, but the food was so good, I let it slide.

Oh no Joe!! What a terrible Thanksgiving!! I hope the rest of the year more than makes up for it with good things for you and your family. Get some rest.

My Thanksgiving was low key, I started cooking at 6AM because I kept my grand baby the day before. I made ham and turkey and trimmings, made one of those Tony Chachere's injected turkeys and everyone liked it.

How odd that almost exactly one year apart I am advising y'all to avoid romaine.

I hope for everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Please say a special prayer for Joe that no disasters occur.
I hope everyone has had much to give thanks for this past year, and the same for next year.

What is the problem with romaine? Not that it is something I would eat anyway..... :D

Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and pumpkin pie, and I'll set. :yesnod:

Have a good Thanksgiving everyone.

Same to you Lucille and rest of the Fauna Family!

I am planning on my longest time off this year which is 4 days in a row.

I checked all belts on blowers today and replaced belts on upstairs unit. We had our fire suppression line break which our Fire Alarm company repaired late Tuesday so because of the debris was in water line I had several toilets and urinals get junk in diaphragm which causes either real short flush or won't stop flushing so repaired those and kept walking around and flushing them all day to clear lines out, lol.

Called into dispatch. Sally port garage for jail not working. I go in and it goes up. It goes down, It goes up, it goes down. Gal says, opps, I was using wrong buttons....

Calls me back 20 min's later. Says I can't get left side of lobby doors to unlock. I go out with Allen wrench and unlock it no problem......

Another 10 min's later someone else calls and says, Lobby call system not working. I take it apart to check wiring. Gal that work night shift says, It worked fine last night. I call person who called me and she say's Sue said it wasn't working. Sue is known to have issue's with stuff not working but does work. My fault I should have asked....

I just pull into drive after 45 min ride home and they call me and say A/C company that is doing energy upgrade is here and need to to come back. I told them the A/C company can come back next Monday through Friday next week between 6 am and 2 pm. They just showed up unannounced.

I'm hoping 4 quiet days, lol. Enjoy your meals!

If I were you I would just turn off the phone and set it in a drawer. It's not an emergency if you don't know about it.

What is the problem with romaine?

Last year contamination of romaine from the Salinas Valley in California sickened many with e. coli. This year very strangely the exact same thing happened . It isn't strange that from time to time there'll be mishaps in such huge growing businesses. But this is almost to the day, and the same type of contamination, and specifically the romaine. Very odd.
