In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wow totally forgot to do this, whoops. Alrighty, here we go. [thought I'd bring a good BOI since we seem to have a rush of bad ones lately]

My first online purchase of an animal was from Harold of the Rocks (Ben Givogri) and it was a huge success! I couldn't be happier! Ben was quite tolerant of my excitement, haha.

Buying of the animal was very easy, 10/10. [1.0.0 western hognose] I actually bought him May of this year and kinda forgot to do a BOI until now.

I got him in a nicely packaged box and his deli cup was well cushioned on the inside but my only worry was that it did not have "live animal" or anything on the box.
The Fed Ex lady threw the box back and forth in her hands and I screeched at her and she handed me the box carefully after that. I cut it open right then and there and he popped his head out of the tissue paper in his deli cup and hissed and hid again.

Almost a year later, Artyom is one of my favorites! [shhh don't tell the other snakes]

I definitely give Ben a 100/100 for excellent communication and condition of the animal. Would definitely buy from him again.

Here's a photo of Artyom now! He's a hissy little boy and I'll be getting him a girlfriend soon.

I just wanted to second your thumbs up of Ben. I bought a kingsnake from him this last summer. It arrived in great condition, and the snake is a treasured member of my house. Ben was even gracious enough to find out more information for me on the breeding lines of the snake, as he did not breed it. He even asked me if he could get me in contact with the people who originated that particular line. The other thing he offered to do was hold on to it and hand deliver at my local reptile show, but I was not sure if I could make it, so elected to have it shipped.

Ben is a great guy to deal with, and I would do buisness with him again.

Like you said "he was tolerant of my excitement".
