    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm pursuing a trade with Larry Gaugler from Queens New York. Has anybody dealt with him before?

Hello,

I have NOT made any transactions with Larry, but will vouch for his character. I have been in contact with him for a number of years (tortoise husbandry and reproduction). I have also 'asked' around and the people I know have never heard any complaints about him or his animals. He is a hobbyist, not an animal dealer. Also, he has a prominent job (in my 'scientific' opinion; I happen to be a Chemist), so I feel that is also a plus when dealing with someone. Personally, I would not hesitate to buy or trade with him... and I RARELY (and I do mean RARELY) if ever buy or trade with anyone!!! (In part for a lot of reasons we see listed here on the BOI).
