In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone dealt with JLA Creations- James and Anja?

They have been posting adds on kingsnake and I was inquiring about some turtles they had for sale. I was interested in acquiring a pastel red eared slider and some "blue" red eared sliders from them. I talked to James on the phone, he seemed pretty cool. I asked him what he knew about these "blue" red eared sliders he was selling and he told me that he proved them out, that they are genetic. He said he bred them himself. On his kingsnake ad for "blue" red eared sliders it says, "Now I dont know for sure if this is Genetic or not. I certainly hope it is. So why dont you try and find out!" This statement and what James told me himself contradict each other. After serious thinking i decided to inquiry here first. If anyone has had any past experiences good or bad with JLA Creations, I would really appreciate it to here about them?

Thanks

Joel Garcia

I believe they used to work with or for Ken Yates. I think it was called Elite Reptiles.
Try searching the threads involving him and see if anything comes up.
If I'm wrong on this then I apologize in advance
Cynthia

They did indeed work for elite with ken yates.

Contadictory statements are nothing new for any of these people.

Don't ship first in a trade and be VERY leary of any genetic guarentees they give you.

You might just be better off taking a pass on the whole thing.

Yeah,

I passed personally, the guy wants to get wholesale animals in trade for retail prices on his available animals. I think not, it's either wholesale for wholesale or retail for retail, I prefer to just keep what I've got than take a loss on something I'm passively interested in. Thanks for the heads-up, Eric Lago *MS Reptilian Hobbyists*

Just found this post

Just to set the record straight......

Yes James and I worked for Ken Yates (who is in jail now in South Carolina). Neither of us knew him before going to work for him so we had no idea what kind of person he was and completely regret ever having anything to do with him or his organization. He paid us VERY well so of course our loyalties were with him until we learned the truth about him.

James and I are no longer together as of 8/2004, he is now back in South Carolina.

I can not explain why he said/did some of the things he did trying to sell his turtles nor do I care to be held accountable for it. James is young, he has allot to learn and he is very impressionable. I dont look down on him for that, other than it didnt work out for our relationship.

The turtles were his deal when he lost his job back in early spring. I work as an emergency vet tech and work about 50 or more hours in a given week so I had nothing to do with the turtle sales other than he included my name in his ads in the beginning in which I asked him not to do and he finally stopped.

I hold the rights to the JLA Creations website and continue to use it to store pictures on mostly. JLA is now JUST Legend and Anja. Legend being my 8yr old son.
