Hello, everyone.
I'm thinking of doing an import, and I would like to know if anyone has dealt with Mr.James Ford - cuorafarm and what your experience was, real dealer or swindler.
I'm going to deal with him if he is real dealer.
regards.

I was searching for this guy's address on google and got to your post- I tried to buy Cuora trifaciata off him earlier this year and he was extremely evasive. I ended up saying I had had enough, two weeks later, he was emailing me looking for photos of my turtles. If you happen to receive pics of C trifasciata on a copy of the Saturday Times sport supplement, you'll know he's a swindler. Can't say he is or isn't but I found dealing with him difficult. James Ford is the name of a US based researcher into C trifaciata. Coincidence?

UPDATE: cuorafarm has used photos of my turtles in adverts recently. DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM- he is a scammer. I sent him an image of my turtles to show I was a serious buyer- now it is being used to lure in other buyers. I stopped dealing with him when I became suspicious of his attitude.

THAT'S NOT TRUE,I HAVE PURCHASE N,ASPER FROM THE BREEDER IN QUESTION, MR JAMES FORD email [email protected] AND RECEIVED MY LIZARD IN PERFECT CONDITION.THERE SHOULD BE A MIXED UP SOMEWHERE,SERIOUSLY.

rhubarbmuncher YOU OUGHT TO BE SURE BEFORE MAKING SUCH ACCUSATIONS.YOU GUYS MUST BE MISTAKEN.

BE SURE BEFORE MAKING ANY COMMENT ON ANYONE YOU JUST MIGHT SUSPECT. MR JAMES FORD IS A LEGITIMATE ASPER HOBBYIST,I'M 100% SURE ABOUT THAT.

Stop acting please!!!! you are just acting the same person as Garry Loxton and James Ford, using the same photos and doing the same advertisement. u are just a scam, u dont need to use another ID to say something good for james ford. There is no JamesFord, it's a scam only!!! u are just a scammer in England and partner ship with Collin Tim Song in Cameroon.

Why would he be using my photo in his adverts? It's my turtle being advertised for sale- he does not own it, I'm not selling it.

Clearly dishonest, clearly up to something. When I was in contact with him his photos and descriptions did not match (size and weights). When I pointed this out he asked for more information- clearly trying to improve his story for someone else.

Please be careful.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL MISTAKEN,YOU HAVE GOT THE WRONG PERSON.THIS IS DEFORMATION OF CHARACTER,THE BOARD NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS.

TurtleGuyVegas, YOU JUST TALKED OUT OF ANGER,I UNDERSTAND YOU MUST HAVE BEEN BEATEN OUT OF STUPIDITY, SO I GUESS YOU ARE NOW LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO PUT THIS ON,I UNDERSTAND YOUR FRUSTRATION BUT LIKE I EARLIER SAID,YOU HAVE GOT THE WRONG PERSON.THIS IS FAULS, I HAVE BOUGHT AN ASPER FROM THIS SAME CUORAFARM, [email protected]

SUN GAZER, DON'T BE MISLED, I WILL CALL ON THE BOARD TO LOOK INTO THIS..............

Stop acting, u are just acting different person to do stupid things and let the people to trust jamesford is a real breeder. He has no phone number, no website, and just using the same photos to do the fake advertisement, I already know how u scam the buyers, u keep asking people to pay u money for reservation then send the photos and send them the turtle , after they receive the turtles, u will ask them to pay another half, and actually that is not!!!u just keep making excuses and asking people to pay the money and u won't give the anything. U didnt buy anything from jamesford, and in fact, u are the same person as jamesford and Garry loxton, a big scammer! Admit it . And stop doing this on any good buyer .

I can understand your trustration man but i'll advice you stop acting, you are not the first to have been beaten, please accept it and move on if only you tell the truth. You have got nothing to say.

Scammers are always good at making excuses, so I won't mind what u said, u can just keep acting like a good buy or friends of jamesford, at least, we already know the scammer jamesford is using another people's photo to do advertisement. =\ keep acting then.

Please lets be serious about this, has James scammed you or anyone??? or is it just the photo issue?? I really want to know what this is all about/

U are just the same person as jamesford and Garry loxton, just stop acting . This is annoying. Whatever u say is useless. Read back the previous post that what people said, using people own photo to do advertisement, size and weight doesn't match. U are very annoying .

Mr Channon (herps01),
Since you are so vehemently defending the people that appear to have scammed the OP, perhaps you will explain why your IP address matches several other posters that were admittedly in Cameroon?

rhubarbmuncher YOU OUGHT TO BE SURE BEFORE MAKING SUCH ACCUSATIONS.YOU GUYS MUST BE MISTAKEN.
Do you really think Mr Thomas would not be able to identify the pictures he sent, when they were subsequently found posted in ad's placed by the recipient??
Anybody else thinking "birds of a feather"?

For the record - I have now asked 2 important things of herps01.
#1 - pictures, in his ad for Naultinus (rare, absolutely protected, New Zealand geckos)
#2 - the explanation, in this thread, regarding his Cameroon IP address.

Neither of those questions can be disregarded, "Mr Channon", if you wish to maintain your account on this site....and there is a time limit, so don't delay.

Surely this is just a very strange coincidence, given the 3-year difference in the first 2 ads below, but I do find the similar language and UK locations interesting ...

Dylan Thomas - this must be your turtle on the sports section being offered for sale by "Garry Loxton" ... who has nothing whatsoever to do with "James Ford", according to "Mr. Channon".

Sorry, I had stopped following this thread and didn't see this until now.

Yes! That's my photo of my turtle taken on my newspaper! This cuorafarm person is a liar and a thief. I did not lose any money from him as he gave a bad feeling and I ceased my contact. He was unable to tell me anything that sounded right. If you know your turtles at all you can tell he doesn't. I learned a lesson dealing with him. Unfortunately, I am a lot more sceptical about dealing with anyone online now.

I only sent him a few images. I will post the emails I had from him below.

Dylan

you, with shells,i will send exactly picks with ruler and we can then
carry on and hopefully we seal a deal.

Hi James,

I have sent some pictures, I took mine with a recent newspaper so you can
see they are in current, real and give you a scale. My turtle has a mass of
approximately 900 grams, he hasn't been feeding as much in the cooler
weather. You can see he is coming into good breeding colours.

I look forward to seeing the pictures of your turtles- if you could take the
pictures on a newspaper that would let me know they are current real and
give me a scale.

Regards,

Dylan

Okay,i will make the photos with a ruler scale,that shouldn't be a
problem at all and forward them to you but first, can i see some photos
of your trifasciatas to be sure you are for real before sending more
information and photos?

Thanks and looking forward to that.

Hi James,

I would happily provide a deposit but need to see the things I have asked
for. From my experience of Coura sp (mainly Malayan Box) the photos and
weights do not match. A ruler scale would offer me assurance that the
turtles are as described. GBP7,000 is a significant sum of money and I
do
not think I am asking much of you to do this.

Thank you for taking the initial pictures but if you cannot offer me any
further information then I am not interested in pursuing this with you.

Regards,

Dylan

The weights and sizes i provided are exactly what they are,in case you
need more photos or proof of size, that will be done only after a
reservation have been made or preferably pick up here in England.

Hi James,

Would you mind taking photos next to a ruler just so I can get scale.
Both
turtles look small for the weights you mentioned, particularly the male
(800g). It is hard to judge these things by photos so the ruler would
really help.

Thanks.

Hi Dylan,

The bigger one,1.5kg is the female while the 0.8kg is the male and i
would prefer not separating them unless i will have to.

I suppose 7K GBP sterling will be a fair price for the pair or what
will be your offer?

Attached to this email are exact photos of the pair and more will
follow hopefully after we must have concluded a deal.

James

Hi James,

Thanks- do you know the sex of the individuals? 1.5kg is a
substantial
specimen.

I would really like some pics if that is possible. Photos of head,
carapace, plastron, and legs would be good, also of the feet just to
check
for signs of pressure sores.

Please let me know what your expectations are for price- I am aware
that
these are an expensive species and in demand. I am living overseas
so
would
need you to handle export paperwork from the UK end.

Thanks so much,

Regards,

Dylan

As you can see from his last email, he was seeking more pictures of my turtle which he would presumably have used elsewhere to swindle people. I am very glad I didn't send them. If you even slightly suspicious of the person you are dealing with, stop!
