• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

i am looking to get a thermostat. I was leaning towards the big apple proportional thermostat, but then i saw an ad for GCS Reptiles and they have one with 4 probes.
I was wondering if people have had any experience with it, and what they thought of it?

I haven't had any experiences with GCS beyond polite conversation via email. However the conversations I have had would definately give me faith in spending my hard earned money with them.

Would love to hear from a third party about those thermostats, actually, so please let us know how they work out for you if you decide to go with them!
 
What are you using it on? I always used on/of as they seemed to work better for me. As I said in the above post, I use Rancos and those work great!

You can hook them up to anything from your AC to cool your snakes (email me I'll tell you how), your fridge to do the same or whatever to a heater or incubator to be sure you don't fry your eggs. These things work for just about anything!
 
GCS controler

I've used Gene's 4 cage cont. for some time now. I love it. It set up easily and keep the temps right. I've got other things from GCS also including livestock and would not hesitate to spend my money w/ Gene again!!

I have not tried the controllers from GCS,,,, But i have talked quite a bit with the guy who makes the controllers,, and does all the R&D research on them,,, The Guy who makes these is really on top of his game,, and know what he is doing for sure,,,! Hank is a wiz, and has made controllers that can control up to 18 units..
I would not hesitate getting one of the units from GCS,, As i think you will get your money worth for sure,,,
