I recently acquired an eastern milk snake under 10 inch with very tiny mouth the snake is wild caught a friends cat was chasing it and it fled into a pipe in they're pool long story short they got it out and dropped it off to me as I have other reptiles my finances brother owns dozens of snakes and told me how to set the little guy up. Unfortunately milk snakes arnt his specialty and I'm having trouble getting him to eat I think the pinkies are to big he strikes but that's it can anyone tell me how to get this guy to eat?! (I do have a vet apt unfortunately she will not take me for almost another month) any advice and knowledge on these guys is appreciated

Yes they are tough. Baby grter or dekay snakes, red back salamanders, and small frogsand lizards. in the wild. You may have to try scening pinkie parts or mouse tails with some of these items. If that fails force feed mouse tails to get him going. Good luck
