    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hey guys and gals. I recently picked up a couple hatchlings, a lesser male and female pinstripe, who seem to be having a hard time getting back to 'feeding mode' after the big ship. My temperature gradients are fine, and I've tried the following; f/t hopper mice, f/t fuzzy mice (thinking they'd go for something smaller), and live rat fuzzies. Needless to say, they've shown absolutely no interest. On a lighter note, I've observed them both drinking water, and upon cleaning of their tanks have found defecation for both animals.

I'm in no way 'new' to the herp scene, just seeking advice from the people who either have helpful (personally gained) info/constructive criticism.

Thanks alot, Rob Kramer.

I had to hide my tank in a dark corner and leave the food in with a boy I had shipped to me. He wouldn't eat for nothing. It took him a good 2 hours before interest sparked and he ate the food left in the tank. He has always been a problem feeder for me. Sometimes I found the PK to be a bit more appetizing to him.

Hope you can get it all taken care of.

Have you tried live mice? What were they eating for the person you bought them from?

I was thinking the same thing. Sometimes baby balls like to see their food moving(a lot). Just keep an eye on them in case you get a crazy mouse that may try to eat the snake.

I havn't tried live mice as of yet, I'll have to give it a try this week.

They breeders had these snakes feeding on live mouse hoppers. The thought had crossed my mind about the live mice, but the female pin is just so small.

I'll keep all of you posted. Thanks for the help!

i had the same problem with an ivory male. he was eating live rat pups, and when i got him... he pooped 3 different times and wouldn't eat live or frozen rats... i waited a little over a week and tried a live mouse... and he took it.

Good News!
Both animals took rat fuzzies (eyes just opened). Whew!

It was just an issue of them getting acclimated, and settling in to their new homes I think.
