    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hello all,
i have not been on for a long time but now i have my first deformed baby. i have seen this before on the site but i need a memory refresher.
this baby is absolutly gorgeous except he/she has no eyelids.
i cant remember if they are blind? or go blind? or do they eventually die? please let me know what might happen with my little one. i will try and take some pics and post them. thanks for your help! tanya

Tanya, sorry you have had this problem. It will be up to you to make a decision for the best care of the animal. If it has no eyelids it is likely that the eyeballs will dry out. I would imageine that would cause some pain and discomfort. Please keep us informed as to your decision.

sorry to hear that Tanya!
Wasn't it determined that this is caused by a temp problem during incubation? I can't remember????

no eyelids...

hello,
i still have him in the incubator, i thought he also had some organs prolapsed but not positive. where the yoak(sp) sac is ( belly button) but what ever it was fell off and now there is a hole bigger then the normal hole from the yoak(sp) but seems to be doing fine. i know i cant keep him in the incubator forever, but i just cant bring myself to putting him down.
as for the temp it has been staedy at 85 for the whole breeding season. it maybe has changed at most 1 degree.all my other ones have hatched out perfectly healthy.
well i will keep you al updated! thanks for everyones help. tanya

I'm sooo sorry but you did what was best for the little gecko. Hopefully all your other hatchling will be alright and won't have any deformities.
