In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What are your hatchling weights this year? * just a few is fine*

I just want to see where my three little ones weigh in against larger clutches, if they are on average, about the same as most, or if they are smaller or larger. :)

This was a very small clutch of 3 eggs. But they seemed pretty big for a first time mom. The babies weights are as follows in the order that they hatched.

Female - 45grms
Male 1 - 64grms
Male 2 - 68grms

I was going to ask who weighs hatchlings, then I remembered that (many) BP people have a scale fixation, lol.
I didn't weigh any babies this year - BPs or otherwise :D

I have very small clutch of 3 eggs

So far:

female1 55g
female2 58g
and the other is in the egg.

  Nice one Harald. I have never weighed my hatchling balls since I keep them all.

I like to keep track of this stuff. Like, so far I've learned that hatchling balls lose about 2 grams of weight from hatching to their first shed.
I can keep track of how much they gain, and how fast--some balls grow more quickly than others, and process their food more efficiently, even when they're eating the same amount.

62, 72, 58, 60, 63, 66(Clutch 1, female 2443 grams before laying, 1606 right after, 2 infertile eggs). One baby out of the egg before he absorbed all of his yolk sac, he managed to detach it before he finished, though I put him on wet paper towel for a couple days. He was still 62 grams. This female's babies have interesting patterns.

64, 64, 67, 68, 66, 66, 64(Clutch 2, first time breeder female, 1974 grams before laying, 1300 right after). Consistantly pretty babies with a fairly typical look.

72, 73, 73, 75, 72, 71, 76, 72, 69, 77, 71, 75, 71, (Clutch 3, female 4150 grams before laying, 2736 right after)

I love that big girl--Huge clutch, huge babies...and 11 out of 13 were pastel. ^_^ One pastel male was in the egg for 2 full days longer than the rest of the clutch. He's gorgeous, though.
