In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hate it OR Love it...

You go, Steve! I haven't seen a straight up post like that in a long time here...
I think it would be cool to see if anything comes out. I don't mind hybrids, at all.

Straight up post about what? This?

Here's a straight up post for the both of you. Cut the crap.

Steve, you wrote the above paragraph then wrote this cocky response back to Laura.

Actually to correct you on your grammer and spelling... If you look up at the top of the window the title of the thread is "Hate it OR Love it..." the "title" of the thread implies no question at all considering the fact that there is no question mark after the title. If you look close enough there are three little periods which actually lead you into the first sentence of my post.
:shrug01:
It was simply a question back to you.

Ok, the tittle of the thread is "hate it or love it" which implies a question and then you ask the group to refrain from any negative comments about hybrids?
Now who looks cocky and arrogant?
Refrain from the name calling in this forum or leave.

Actually this thread belongs in the Genetics, Taxonomy, Hybridization forum.....

Lets try to keep it civil..Randy

That's your opinion that your entitled to.
I'm not taking a side opposite yours since I think the outcome of this should prove interesting, but if you are going to correct other people's "grammer" then perhaps you shouldn't be ending a sentence with a preposition. :>poke2<:

Why such a positive post Jen? Think trying to take cheap shots on a snake forum is going to possibly heighten your coolness factor or maybe even make people want to buy snakes from you even more? Were you the kid in highschool that got picked on everyday so now that your behind a computer screen on a snake forum you feel the need to randomly post smart remarks? So that maybe you could come off cool like a few others in the ball community that already do enough to make us ball python folks look cocky, arrogant and greedy enough. I asked the group to refrain from any negative comments about hybrids because I didn't want this thread... like many to go on into a 120 page tug of war about whether the community on the forum agreed with hybrids or not. I just simply asked... and I did say please! :yesnod:

That's your opinion that your entitled to. You as well as others may not agree or see ANYTHING exciting about this at all... However there are a few that do! :D

Did you lag bolt the chip to your shoulder before or after you started this thread?

Judging by the title , you knew this thread could turn confrontational. I'm sure everyone thought it was nice that you asked them to not say anything if they didn't agree with your breeding plans. If you want them to take it seriously , you may want to not find an attack that doesn't exist. Jen's posts were far from what you claim they are. Maybe you should step back and think a bit more before responding. So far the only person here defending anything would be you from the imaginary " non hybrid " army.

Has anyone ever produced eggs from this cross?
Rick

I've seen pictures of the breeding and of a baby that was produced... There wasn't really a whole lot of information posted on the thread other than the few pictures. I'll try to dig up the thread...

Either way I'll be sure to post updates when necessary.

Has this ever been done? I'm sure its been tried but has anything came from it? If they do cross, what are the chances that they wouldn't be sterile? You are right Steve, people either LOVE them or absolutely HATE them.
Rick

Exactly... Hence the title of the thread hate it or love it... some people will hate it as one or two had voiced, and some will find it interesting if anything comes out of it. I'm honestly just looking forward to seeing what happens...

More so than anything I'm really looking forward to seeing if the pastel genetics would be able to carry over into the hybrid babys.

What the HELL are you talking about?!?!? I made a joke about big girls not liking tiny guys -- you know, "size matters"?

Maybe he thought you were talking about him.

Does anyone have the information on the person who successfully crossed them, or remember the thread? I'm not huge on hybrids, but there are a few I like and would love to see the picture that Steve is talking about. It seems to me that, that cross would be something that would have been big news even if you don't like hybrids. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The links. Seems a bit odd that he got albinos as well as normals. That would indicate that the albino genes in BP's and Burms are compatible.

The ball pythons were normals -- not het albino. The only way that albino could have come from the same clutch is if the clutch had 2 fathers -- the normal male ball and the albino male burm. The albino looks to be 100% full burm.

Maybe its because its 3:00 am but is it still in question if its really a burmXball? Is there any updates on those snakes? I would love to see a updated pic. of one of them. When i seen the pics i swear i have seen a pic of one like it. I know it wasn't a burmXball. Jen is right, the albino looks 100% burm.

I forget the breeder but yes a burm ball cross has happened. It was two normals. I ask though. Why?
