Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jeff, Im glad you have your herps and that your happy with the deal. Hopefully you'll have Ghost's in 3-4 years. Again, I have MORE questions then answers:

1) Why is Jeff the only one to get his order ?

2) Why havent Christy and Jason gotten theirs ? Hell, it doesnt take that much more time to pack to pack 2 more orders.

3) WHY havent they been contacted ? Im sure they would feel better with a good air bill number, instead of guessing.

Im sorry, but their customer service skills needs a complete turn around, if the want to do business in the future. 1 happy customer out of 3 isnt very good. Im sure if Jason and Christy get their animals and their healthy, I seriously doubt they would recommend them. Im sure they wont be around much longer unless something changes SOON.

Angela. I do not think anyone cares about your personal life, however I do think that the fact that you are not returning e-mails to people who have sent you money is everyones business. Casey
 
angela sorry to hear of your plight. that must be a drag unparalled by many. what you have to realize though is that it is a nightmare to send someone money that you dont even know..not hear anything and have no idea what is going on.
some of these people have to save and save to be able to purchase the snakes and the dread of nothing showing up is overwhelming. also its not like you have a client base that can assure the buyers whilst you sort out the drama on your end that all will turn out well for them.
instead of being mad why dont you just try to realize that more than anything most people here want to help and are willing to pass info or do whatever it takes to get the job done because they care about what happens to each other and their animals..i know this might seem hard to believe in this day and age but if you read a few pages of the bois you will find amazing things going on and people that might shock you with their kindness and generosity.
believe it or not..not everyone is out to get you although after a visit by child care services it might feel that way.
best of luck to you..and i really mean that. i would not wish that scene on my worst enemy.

The snakes FINALLY made it. Alot of good that tracking number did, it's not that out of the way to contact customers directly, not everyone is going to come here to recieve their tracking number. To Jeff or anyone else that finally recieved their animals, did your animals come stuffed in a lunch bag with staples??? One of the poor snakes that I recieved had a staple shoved in her! I'm treating the wound, luckily it didn't get shoved in too deep and I'm sure she will be fine. The babies are beautiful...but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Have-A-Herp! Of course unless you enjoy waiting, and waiting, wondering and worrying. Let's not forget NO COMMUNICATION! She said that she was having personal problems, she is right, it's not our business , but taking our money, saying she will ship a certain day and then not doing so ,and not communicating IS OUR BUSINESS!!! When you are in the business of selling, especially on the internet, communication is extremely important! I mean, how hard is it to send an e-mail or give someone a call?? I was left guessing and worrying through this entire transaction and all it would have taken is a few minutes of her time to get the animals shipped out and give me a tracking number. Angela, we ALL have problems...that's just life! In this day and age it seems that problems, heartache, and grief await us at every corner! ....Anyway, I will know to come to the BOI first and check for references before I buy from someone that I don't know!
 
I just wanted to make a comment on the "personal issues" that were involved here.  I understand that you may have a problem in your personal life, but professionals DO NOT let that interfere with business.  I'm sure that this has caused a lot of headaches for you, what with people commenting on here about you WHILE all the personal issues were being played out as well.  

The thing is, while moving stores, retailers STILL sell things.  While in litigation for possible monopoly charges Microsoft didn't shut down.  During heavily publicised cases involving the President of the United States, he was STILL able to run a country.  There is now excuse for what you did in my and many others opinion.  Personal problems should NEVER cause you to leave your customers hanging.

While the particulars of the problem need not be stated, it is very much your customers buisness why you haven't sent them their animals when you have their money in hand.
If you remain physically able to use the computer, then keeping customers informed is required. It takes less than 5 minutes to compose an email and carbon copy it to everyone with one send.

This displays a complete apathy for the customers. Who would expect to be required to visit the BOI to retrieve a tracking number, especially when the majority of that list have not been a part of this thread.
The fact that it is "easier" for you is completely irrelevant, and is just a plain lack of concern for the customer.

I have seen the results of what happens with false claims such as you have been forced to deal with, and I do sympathize with you. As a parent myself, I know I harbored that fear when my child was younger.
However that is not an acceptable excuse for this level of poor buisness practice, and I will not be eager to buy anything from Have A Herp in the future.
 
Okay, final post on the subject of Have-A Herp. For some odd reason I never felt they didnt have the Balls Pythons in question. Read my responses. My problem was the "lack of contact with your customers and "possible" customers". A key word that I noticed in your response was "Easier". I know you MAY be going threw a rough time. I have 4 kids myself and couldnt even begin to think of what that would be like. But, business IS business. Christy also has a very serious "personal issue" with her cousin, but yet she has sent her hard earned money, waited for replys, worried and then finally gets a stapled snake !! Im sorry, but there's the "stresses of life" everywhere. You not the only one. You have to ALWAYS put yourself in your customers shoes. Back in Janurary one of my boys had a sever seizure and was in childrens hosiptal for 4 days. I had orders due to go out. I called or emailed EVERYONE of them and let them know I had a personal matter to attend to and it would take a few days to get their order out. Guess what ? I took 15 minutes. I guess Ive been lucky to have had so many nice customers, cause not a single one, was upset !!! Actually a few offered in some way or another, to try and help out anyway they could.

You 110% right, its not my OR anyones elses business. But as others have stated, certain things are our business. No one wants to see someone unhappy in a deal. If your worried about viruses, PUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR AD. If your not going to give updates to your customers, DONT TAKE THEIR MONEY. And if your having problems, WAIT UNTIL THINGS SMOOTH OVER BEFORE DOING BUSINESS ON THE NET OR ANTWHERE ELSE, if your not going to be able to offer FULL customer support. Everyone can read these threads and come to their own conclusions. I wish the BEST, not only for you, but ALL the parties that have responded to this thread.

I am glad to hear you have all received the ball pythons. Again as some other have suggested I will strongly encourage Angela to do a follow up with her customers in the future. One final thing:

Please! We are dealing with living creatures here! There are some guideliness in the old BOI as how to safely ship snakes. snakes can easily escape from a lunch bag and the last thing we need in our hobby is UPS complaining because of a loose snake in their depot or truck.

I am thrilled that everyone has recieved their snakes. Now I am wondering when she will send mine. I ordered and paid for 14 balls last thursday. The only contact that I have recieved since then is a request for my mailing address which I included with the payment and I have emailed it with every message I have sent her. She has not returned any of my emails since then and now I am getting a bit aggitated. If anyone can contact her PLEASE tell her to reply to my emails or refund my money. By the way my email address is [email protected] and my name is marcus harrison. I would be most appreciative if someone can help me in my quest to recieve my snakes. do what I had to do, file a complaint to kingsnake abuse and then start filling out other reports. Inform Angela via e-mail that you are doing so. Even though she doesn't reply to the e-mails, I am willing to bet that she is reading them. Contact the Havana IL police dept. I seriously doubt I would have gotten my snakes if I hadn't done so. Jeff knows how to contact them, his cell phone number is listed somewhere in this tread. Give him a call and ask him to contact Angela and inform her that you plan on contacting the police if you don't recieve your snakes. Im sorry that you are having to play the waiting/worrying game, I know how you feel! The least she could do is e-mail and let her customers know something! But then again you see how much respect that she has for us, posting our tracking numbers here because it's "easier"! I didn't even get my tracking number until AFTER I had recieved my snakes, and of course I wouldn't have even gotten it then if I didn't come here and see it! Anyway, I wish you the best of luck and I hope your snakes arrive safely and staple free! Let us know when you recieve them.
 
his snakes will be going out next week      it takes two weeks at some times for checks and money orders to clear all their respective banks etc. just because you send someone a payment and wait a week does not mean that it has already cleared the banks etc.

I sell on ebay and only take money orders I never had to wait for a money order to clear the bank  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>  Sorry man think you need to come up with a new lie.
 
excuse me there boa master   I had one person pay with a money order that was nothing more than an altered scan of one printed out on their computer. I received a few that day and some checks ,  signed all of them and took them to my bank and deposited them as I always do and low and behold I get a call from my bank saying that one of the money orders was a forgery. I know of another reptile dealer who has received fake money orders too. So forgive me if I steer a little on the cautious side and require a full two weeks for items to clear my bank.    and by the way it is WOMAN not man    thank you

boa master..better be careful with the certified checks and money orders..those are very simple to forge and if you havent received a bad one yet consider yourself very lucky.
cash them before you ship the goods!

If you have an account with that bank it is safer to cash the money orders at the very moment you take them there. The cashiers are usually proficient in telling a forgery from a good one.

With regards to the false maoney order, it would be very important for the rest of us to know the name of who did that. Then we can avoid doing business with this person in the future. That is why this board is for, not only to protect the customers but also the sellers.

Take Postal Money orders only!!
You can cash them right at the Post Office and they check
them on the spot.
 
I hate to have to communicate this way. I mean on a public board. Since she wont reply to any of my email. When I email her I just reply to the first email she sent me. So there is no reason to think that their is a virus contained in it. But I was wondering if she could be a bit more specific than some time next week. I have some events that I am going to attend out of town and I would like to make arrangements. I really would be greatful if she could ship on Monday. I would really be greatful if she just emailed me. Ohhh well I guess you cant have your cake and eat it to.
