In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

have you guy's seen this?

Sometimes, mixing hypo and trans together will produce an occasional double het, that will start off normal, then turn trans once it reaches a certain size. The change is different than a belgium trans baby that is turning trans. These tend to look "patchy"

Are those german dragons proven? I haven't seen any pics of the offspring. The pieds I was referring to are transluscent related.

These transluscent hets still produce the same ratios as a normal het. Breeding one to a visual trans will still produce 50% normal, 50% trans(average).

Okay that makes more since now. ha ha. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, they proved it, they have offspring going pied as we speak (well they should be well pied they looked close at 3 months old)

Thanks. I have seen the adults, but haven't seen or heard of them proving them out. I will talk to them soon:)

If you notice, many of the trans related oddities develop in a similar way. They start off normal, then it develops once they reach a certain size.

Josh

I totally agree:) At some point we will see a true pied. I bet that once we see a true leucistic, a pied will shortly follow(or vise versa), being that the two genetics are very similar.

I don't know why I didn't add these to the list of trans related oddities. These black spots are also paradox. I have been seeing more of this from people than anything else. There is also red spotting too.

It would not.shock.me if you experience the same abnormalities when crossing any two recessive mutations in bearded dragons, not just hypo and translucent. It is more likely the way the bearded dragons inherits the genes. I don't think it has anything to do with the one single mutation. Have you done much with hypo and silverback without trans?

So far I haven't seen anything similar from mixing just silverback and hypo, witblits and hypo, or witblits, silverback, and hypo. Something with the transluscent gene makes these oddities when combined to other recessive mutations.

Josh

Sorry, I screwed up my last sentence. Something to do with mixing the transluscent and hypo genes makes these oddities(sorry, I had a long day:)). The "creamsicle" and "clown" dragons(attached pics) both have trans, hypo, and silverback mixed in. I haven't seen the same result with just trans x silverback, or hypo x silverback. I did 2 breedings last year of visual hypo het silverback x het witblits. None of the offspring out of all the clutches turned into anything unusual. I have a couple male triple het(witblits, hypo, and trans) that are unusual looking, almost like they are trying to turn patternless like witblits. It's very similar to what I am seeing with the "creamsicle" female.

That's a beauty mark, You should start a new line called "Marilyn Mornoe" and sell them lol.
You defiantly have some great looking beardies, can't wait to see them progress.
