    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Have you seen anything like this?

We had our first clutch of the year hatch out last weekend. We got 0.1 normal, 1.2 pinstripes, and 1.1 of these crazy reduced pattern pins. Not sure what's going on here... take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think. This is the first clutch we have produced from either of the parents. Have you guys seen anything like this?

Yes we are definitely holding these ones back. We have another clutch due to hatch on the the 15th where the pin is the sire. We dont think its from him but we should be able to know better then. We are definitely going to be on the edge of our seats until we see what is in the next set of eggs we get from the "normal" female.

if it isn't an incubation issue then it looks like you might have something going on there. They look really nice.

Those are really nice. Looks like they will darken up. Looks more like a spider pattern than a pinstripe. I'm thinking incubation, but hope you have something. Do you have pictures of the rest of the clutch?

The body looks kind of spider-ish but the heads are clearly pin. below are photos of the other normal pins that were in the clutch

and here are some more pics of the reduced ones

thanks

Yeah the head and front half looks pin but the pattern we are talking about looks more spiderish than pin which is cool. After looking at mom a little better and the other pins that hatched it makes more sense. Mom looks to be a genetic reduced pattern with it really shows up in the back half of mom, and she lightens up as well. If you look at the pattern you have on the normal pins they resemble the pattern on the two. I believe those two got moms reduced pattern and will darken up but still be lighter than the others.

the body looks spider-ish but the heads are definite pins.. below are the photos of the rest of the pinstripes from the clutch along with a few more pics of the reduced patterns.
